When young I was denied joining my employer’s pension scheme because I was a woman. Other employers allowed only monthly paid or those earning over a certain amount to join. Women were generally weekly paid & unlikely to earn the same as men. #BackTo60 #FullRestitution #50sWomen Later years I believed my firm had a pension scheme for male employees. I asked my then boss if it would be possible for me to have a pension to support a meagre SP. He said no. To comfort me he reminded me I reached SPA at 60, which wasn’t too bad!#BackTo60 #50sWomen #NoCrumbs
