In three hours I'm very excited to host a brilliant game designer, who will speak with us about how to create fine educational games.

A couple of things you should know about this:

#FTTE First, @continuities just built a game for Google. It teaches players about how quantum computers work. It's a lot of fun, offers a lot of cutting-edge knowledge, and is hard to stop playing:

Disturbing report on heart damage from #COVID19 .
Key finding: heart problems were able to hit any infected people, not just those with comorbidities.

publichealth.jhu.edu/2022/covid-and… "people who did not have any heart problems start with, were athletic, did not have a high BMI, were not obese, did not smoke, did not have kidney disease or diabetes—even in people who were previously healthy and had no risk factors or problems with the heart..."

There's a fascinating and at times depressing sketch of campuses responding to Delta at @insidehighered this morning:

Flying in the US gives me a sense of a nation struggling to keep going. Flailing, not advancing. It feels like an exhausted country waiting for something better.

Gearing up for tonight's ed tech seminar.
The topic: VR, AR, XR.

Most of what I say boils down to go follow @DigitalBodies @mayaig @emorycraig @DigitalBodies @mayaig @emorycraig Other topics I've set out for XR:
-ethics
-scaffolding learning
-building community in these spaces
-users as creators

Also an interesting museum case study.

I wanted to share some quick thoughts about one aspect of the #Cuomo story.

It's about information literacy.

Specifically, it's about reading vs tv watching.

(1/n) I've been seeing so many Democrats suddenly realize that #Cuomo is a terrible person.

As a native New Yorker, politics junkie, and person of the left, I've been wondering why it took them so long.

Biden is now speaking.

This is chaos from a small number of extremists, a mob, bordering on sedition. Biden calls on Trump to go on national tv and call for an end to the "siege."
