30th Anniversary card

Hello again friends; I hope the start of the week has been good for you.  I'm back to share the card I made for hubby to celebrate our recent 30th Pearl anniversary.  I cannot believe where the last 30 years have gone; although I think I deserve a medal for putting up with him for so long lol!

Here is my card:

this one shows the glittery card better:

My husband is not really into fussy cards so decided to buy a die/stamp set to cut out the 30 and save myself the stress of trying to make something elaborate from scratch.  I die cut the base from navy card and then the 30 was die cut from a pearl glittery card that I've had in my stash for years.  The sentiment was also from the same set and I heat embossed it on the navy card with a glittery powder.  The husband word was die cut in the pearl card and also a dark red which was ever so slightly off set.  The hearts were also cut from the same dark red card.  The finished card is very dimensional as the 30 was added with foam squares along with the sentiment and hearts.  I think the finished result is perfect for my husband.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Color Hues challenge - merlot and navy
Shopping Our Stash challenge - celebrating by the numbers
Dream Valley challenge - dies and/or punches

Thanks for stopping by; I really appreciate all your comments and your continued support.

Love and hugs,

50th birthday card

A friend in work recently celebrated her 50th birthday so I made her a happy and bright card to celebrate.  I decided to make a cocktail themed card as she was going away with friends so it seemed very apt.

Here is my card:

I began by stamping the fantastic glass images and die cut them out with the matching dies.  The umbrella, stirrer and orange were also separate images but again had matching dies.  I added some Nuvo aqua shimmer pen to the drinks and they really shine in real life.  I added the die cut drinks to a white panel and stamped the 50 cheers alongside.  This was then added to a piece of patterned paper and attached to my card base.  I stamped a secondary sentiment below the white panel.  I didn't think the card needed any embellishments so left it as it was.

I am going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - bright colours
Sweet Stampin challenge - favourite colour combo (I love soft pastel colours)
Crafty Hazelnut's Paper challenge - August 2020 (use patterned paper)
Allsorts challenge - summer fun

I hope you've had a good start to the week and the weather has improved.  It's showery here but still very humid so not an ideal combination!

Enjoy the rest of your week and take care.

Card ingredients:
Clearly Besotted Stamps - raise a glass (I have the older version)
Clearly Besotted Stamps - basic numbers
MFT - beary special birthday (for the sentiment)
Versafine onyx black ink
Papermania spots & stripes - pastels 8x8 pad

Cupcake craft challenge #180–DT card

Hello again friends.  Don’t faint, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Keeley has set the theme and she has chosen “pink fluffy cupcakes”.  So basically we want to see you use pink as the main colour, include something fluffy and at least one cupcake – simples!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes (close up)

I have used a cute image from The Greeting Farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘sweet nothings’ paper pad and the card is SU.  My “fluffy” part is the flower which I die cut out of felt (1 rolled flower and 2 magnolia doohickey flowers glued together).  I got the felt from dies to die for who are now selling 12x12 pieces in lots of gorgeous colours.  I made this card for my mother to give to her friend and it’s A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #145–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I trust you had a good weekend.  The weather here was quite good, we saw a bit of sunshine even though it was still chilly.  We were celebrating my parents 45th wedding anniversary on Saturday and all went out for a lovely family meal in the evening.  It was wonderful to spend time with my parents, sister and her family and we seemed to laugh all night!!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “cute vintage”, although I did misread the theme slightly and just made a vintage card, but I thought I’d share it anyway.  Here is my card:

SWF #145 - vintage

I made this for my aunt’s 100th birthday a few week’s ago and as I didn’t have an actual photograph of her when she was young I used Google to find a royalty free image to use on my card.  I lightly coloured her headband and flowers with flex markers to match my papers and added stickles to the flowers.  I inked all the edges for a distressed/aged look and added some lace and a decorative metal corner.

The rest of the design team have created gorgeous cards as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Pile it on challenge – add lace

Sentimental Sunday challenge – die cuts (oval nesties)

Let’s craft and create challenge – butterflies

My mum’s craft shop challenge – fave colour combo (pink/green)

CRAFT challenge – use numbers

Moving along with the times challenge – things with wings

2 sisters challenge – embossing (white panel is embossed)

Craft your days away challenge – distressing

Joanna Sheen challenge – celebrations

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  I’ll be back later with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge but until then have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Charisma cardz #2–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’ve had a good week so far, although I can’t believe it’s Thursday already!!  I have so much to do this week and I don’t seem to have achieved very much – story of my life at the moment lol!

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s charisma cardz challenge and Nina has chosen “clean and simple” as her theme this week.  Here is my card:

Charisma cardz #2 - clean and simple

Charisma cardz #2 - clean and simple (close up)

I have used a super cute image from Stamp Fairy called ‘Lenny – thank you’ that I luckily got as a freebie a little while ago.  I coloured him with promarkers and added a pink glittery bubble sticker to his nose for an extra bit of interest.  I paper pierced around the image and then simply matted and layered onto plain cardstock.  Very clean and simple (and I’m not entirely sure if it’s not too clean and simple lol!).  I’m sorry about the poor pics – I tried all ways to get clearer ones but to no avail!

Our sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy and I have to be honest I’m not sure what the prize is……..but if you pop over to the challenge blog there will be full details there!

Passion for promarkers #130–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a great weekend and have recovered from any self inflicted illnesses lol!  We had a quiet New Year’s Eve and the whole family just chilled out, which was nice though.  I haven’t crafted for so long and I have to say it is taken a toll on both my motivation and my mojo, but I’m sure I’ll soon get into the swing of things.

I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers challenge and it seems like forever since we had a new challenge as we had our month long Mega Christmas challenge last month.  I have to say it was wonderful to see all your amazing creations and I really enjoyed visiting your blogs.  I have the honour of setting the challenge this week and I have chosen “thank you” as our theme, as I’m sure like me you still have a few cards to make to thank relatives and friends for their Christmas gifts.

I made a very simple card for this week’s challenge although I have to say I’m really pleased with the finished result.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 130 - thank you

PFP challenge 130 - thank you (close up)

I used a super cute digi from Saturated Canary digis which is aptly called “thank you” and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  I bought some Martha Stewart PATP punches out of my Christmas money and used just the border punch on this card.  The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by personal impressions and I meant to add some pearls but forgot to lol, but as I say I’m really pleased with it anyway!

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and they are offering one lucky winner a prize of a Promarker Stamping kit.

Passion for promarkers #128–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope that you are all well this morning and that Monday was good to you!  As I mentioned it was my son’s birthday so we had pizza delivered and we all sat together munching our food and watching a film – which was really nice.    My boys are definitely not my babies anymore and there won’t be many more birthdays left like this one I don’t think *sob*.

Anyway onto the reason you are here.  It’s Tuesday so that means we have a brand new challenge for you over at passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Tracy has set the theme and she has chosen to give us a sketch to use.  You can rotate the sketch and make minor alterations but we must recognise the original sketch.  Don’t forget you must use your Letraset pens (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, tria markers or aqua markers) to qualify for our prize draw.  Here is my card using Tracy’s sketch:

and here is Tracy’s fantastic sketch:

PFP challenge 128 sketch

I decided to use the sketch to make a Christmas card for my youngest son and I used a freebie image from Pollycraft called ‘Casper silvermist – too cool for Christmas’ and coloured him with flex markers and promarkers.  The gorgeously stunning papers are bo bunny from the “snowfall collection” and the plain card is papermania from the ‘textured cardstock’ pack.  I kept the card fairly simple and just added some twine, snowflakes and pearls.  The sentiment was created on the pc.

Our sponsor this week is Sugar Nellie Stamps and the prize is yet to be confirmed.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you’re having a good week so far.  I cannot believe it is Friday already – although I’m not complaining.  It’s been a super crazy week in work and I will be glad when today is over.  It is my son’s 15th birthday on Monday so we will be going out on Sunday to the cinema to celebrate and probably have a nice meal too, so something to look forward too.

We’ve had more bad luck in the family this week, my hubby’s grandfather who is 95 has recently had a major operation for cancer but had come home from hospital and was recovering well when he fell and broke his hip.  He is back is hospital and recovering from surgery on his hip now as well.  I know he’s a tough old man but there’s only so much that someone that age can tolerate and I really hope he can bounce back from this.

Onto nicer things now and today there is a brand new challenge over at winter wonderland challenge and Squirrel has chosen the theme of “nativity”.  She would like to see your images featuring baby Jesus, Mary & Joseph, the 3 wise men etc.  I decided to go for a super minimalist look for my card this time – here it is:

WW #21 - nativity

WW #21 - nativity (close up)

I used a super sweet image from Mo’s Digital Pencil called ‘in the manger’ and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  The sentiment is from a clear set by personal impressions and the gems are from my stash.  The plain card is papermania from textured card pack.  I really like the simplicity of this card, although I really had to stop myself from adding more to it!!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Cupcake craft challenge #168–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge.  This week the lovely Delphine has set the theme and she has chosen “two’s company” so we want to see images of two boys, two girls or one of each on your projects. The idea is to have two or more characters on your work (coming from the same stamp or different stamps). Animals don't count, but fairies and angels are ok.  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 168 - two's company

CCC challenge 168 - two's company (close up)

I have used two images from sassy studio designs - the image on the left is called ‘prom cameo’ and the one on the right is called ‘circle cameo 4’ and they are coloured with promarkers and flex markers.  I made this card for my niece who is 18 at the end of the month.  I’ve used the magnolia flourish die again and the finished card is A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and one lucky winner will receive 4 digis of their choice.

Passion for promarkers #124–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you all had a good Halloween – it was really quiet here, just a few children trick or treating – but I think the wet weather was the reason for that.  At least my boys were happy as I had lots of sweeties left over for them.  I cannot believe it is already the 1st November, what happened to October?

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge.  This week the lovely Emma has set the theme and she has chosen “a day at the zoo”, so you must include an animal that you would find at the zoo on your creation such as elephants, giraffes etc.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo

PFP challenge 124 - at the zoo (close up)

I decided to make a baby card (yes again lol!) and used this super cute image from pink petticoat called ‘baby giraffe’ which comes in a boy and girl version.  Can you guess which version I used haha!  I know it’s very pink but I think it’s quite cute.  It’s a dinky 4x4 card and the pretty paper is a magazine freebie.  The image is coloured with flex markers and promarkers.  The image is part of the sentiment but I cut it apart to fit the smaller sized card.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.
