Primary timeline
13.5 billion years BCE
The planet Cybertron forms. [1] The Allspark, the source of all Cybertronian life, comes into existence around this time as well, and energizes prehistoric Cybertron as it travels across the planet in immaterial form. Siege episode 2
Unicron, a being "older than history", comes into existence. Kingdom episode 6
1.4 billion years BCE
After the War of the Primes, Alpha Trion becomes the first known Cybertronian to bear the Matrix of Leadership and carry the Staff of Solus. Earthrise episode 5
At some point over the next billion years, Cybertron is invaded by Quintessons, who enslave the citizens of Cybertron and institute a corrupt regime. Decepticons like Megatron and Impactor toil in the mines for their masters in between bouts of gladiatorial combat, Earthrise episode 4 although Autobots appear to enjoy a higher standard of living. Siege episode 1 Eventually, however, Alpha Trion and three handpicked students—Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime, and Megatron—spearhead a rebellion against the Quintessons. Siege episode 3 The Quintesson Deseeus claims to have played a role in inspiring his Cybertronian subjects to rebel against his fellow Quintessons, but these statements are unverified. Earthrise episode 2 During the battle of Tarn-Hauser Gate, Magnus and Megatron fight side-by-side and win, despite suffering high casualties. Siege episode 4 Eventually, the Cybertronian rebels successfully banish the aliens from Cybertron. Earthrise episode 2
The arrogant Sky Lynx attempts to seize the Matrix from Trion. Rather than relinquish the talisman, Trion uses the Staff of Solus to banish him to the extra-dimensional Dead Universe. Earthrise episode 5
250 million BCE
Cybertron experiences a Golden Age of peace and prosperity, and a network of space bridges connects planets like Velocitron, Nebulon and Caminus to Cybertron. Siege episode 1 During this time, Alpha Trion proves the existence of the AllSpark, Siege episode 4 However, despite this veneer of enlightenment, issues of injustice and inequality continue to fester, and tensions between the privileged Autobots and impoverished Decepticons impede any meaningful societal change. Kingdom episode 3
200.4 million BCE
After millions of years of fruitlessly working within the system to achieve his goals, Megatron decides to take matters into his own hands by becoming leader of the Decepticons, murdering Alpha Trion, and leading Cybertron in his place. The Matrix of Leadership chose Optimus Prime as its next bearer, while Magnus inherits the sum total of Alpha Trion's knowledge in the form of the Alpha Trion Protocols. In response to Megatron's betrayal, Optimus Prime and the Autobots take up arms against the Decepticons, and civil war begins. Siege episode 3 To commemorate their fallen leader, the Autobots construct a memorial to Alpha Trion at Tarn-Hauser. Siege episode 6
Disillusioned by the conflict, an embittered Ratchet leaves the Autobots and establishes his own clinic inside an abandoned theater where he works to repair Autobots and Decepticons alike. Other Cybertronians like the ancient Guardians choose not to take a side in the conflict. Siege episode 4 The amoral Decepticon Shockwave creates a clone of Soundwave. Rather than join the Decepticons, the newly-christened "Soundblaster" goes rogue and establishes his own Mercenary empire. Siege episode 5 At some point, the space bridge network that connects Cybertron to its colony worlds are destroyed by the Decepticons. Siege episode 1
200.008 million BCE
Centuries of war have reduced Cybertron to ruins and pushed Optimus Prime and Elita-1's faltering Autobot resistance to the brink. With the space bridge network out of commission, the last remnants of Optimus's forces construct the Ark spacecraft to escape their dying world. However, as the Autobots scrounge for energon with the assistance of the neutral scavenger Bumblebee, Ultra Magnus—believing that Optimus is too stubborn to accept an inevitable Decepticon victory—secretly leaves to negotiate a peace treaty with Megatron, Siege episode 1 but is imprisoned when Megatron insists on an unconditional Autobot surrender. Siege episode 2 The discovery of the planet's last working space bridge prompts Optimus Prime to find the AllSpark and launch it off Cybertron before the Decepticons can claim the artifact for themselves and use it to reformat every Autobot into a Decepticon. Siege episode 3
With the assistance of Ratchet and their reluctant Decepticon ally Impactor, the Autobots get the space bridge online; at the same time, however, Megatron kills Magnus, and his death transfers the Alpha Trion Protocols into Bumblebee, who up until that point had refused to take a side in the conflict. The cold-blooded execution compels Seker leader Jetfire to leave the Decepticons, and Megatron appoints Starscream in his stead. Siege episode 4 While Bumblebee secures the necessary energon to launch the Ark from Soundblaster, Optimus and his team track the AllSpark to the Sea of Rust, where they liberate the artifact from a mob of Sparkless, but a cyber-attack from Shockwave cripples the planet and wipes the Alpha Trion protocols from Bumblebee's brain. Siege episode 5 In the ensuing battle, Optimus is forced to prematurely jettison the AllSpark by hurling it through the space bridge portal before his followers can launch the Ark. Elita chooses to stay on Cybertron with a group of Autobots who didn't make it onto the ship in time to continue fighting against the Decepticons. Siege episode 6
After rematerializing in an unknown region of space, Optimus and his crew are taken prisoner by Doubledealer's crew of Mercenaries, in the employ of the insane Quintesson Deseeus. To escape captivity, the Autobots team up with the Mercenaries, wipe out his army of drone soldiers, and escape. Earthrise episode 2 However, Deseeus catches up with the treacherous Mercenaries and forcibly takes control of Doubledealer, turning him into a mindless puppet. Earthrise episode 6
Deprived of the life-giving AllSpark, Cybertron slowly begins to die. A desperate Megatron greenlights "Project: Nemesis", and Shockwave implements his plan to get off-world by harvesting every available resource—including the living bodies of Autobots and Decepticons—using them to construct a massive warship that will find and retrieve the AllSpark. However, his efforts repeatedly stymied by Elita's resistance cell, operating out of Ratchet's abandoned clinic, until Starscream leads them into a trap. Earthrise episode 1 They escape the "harvesting" procedure with the help of the sympathetic Scrapface, Earthrise episode 2 and, after Megatron and his inner cadre launch the Nemesis on a tip from the mercenary Doubledealer, the group makes an attempt to bring down Shockwave himself when the scientist orders all remaining Decepticons to Kaon's arena. Earthrise episode 3 With the help of the Guardians, Elita rigs the entire building to blow, but in the middle of their battle against Shockwave the explosives detonate and kill everyone inside. Earthrise episode 6
At some point afterwards, Bumblebee officially joins the Autobots; in space, the Autobots stumble across Nebulon Station, wedged in the middle of a still-working space bridge while searching for a faster way to find the Allspark. Earthrise episode 3 As the Autobots work to demolish the abandoned station and clear the way for their own vessel, the Nemesis catches up with the Ark, but both the Autobots and Decepticons are forced to team up and confront a murderous Scorponok, the last survivor of another race who'd been brutalized by the Quintesson regime. While trying to escape the station, a blast from Starscream hits the Ark's warp drive and sends both ships tumbling into the Dead Universe. Earthrise episode 4
While stranded in the Dead Universe, both Optimus and Megatron receive guidance from unexpected sources: Optimus encounters Sky Lynx, while Megatron is approached by "Galvatron"—his future self shows him a vision of a mysterious Golden Disk in an attempt to change history and prevent a timeline in which he becomes a slave of Unicron. Sky Lynx is killed when the two ships again cross paths, but both the Autobots and Decepticons escape the Dead Universe and return to their own reality.
"New" timeline
170 million BCE
Seeking to change history, a group of Predacons led by another Megatron steal the Golden Disk from their native time period, enter an unspace portal, and travel hundreds of millions of years back in time in the hopes of using the Golden Disk to change history. Optimus Primall leads two hundred Maximals across time and space aboard the starship Axalon and crash land one hundred and seventy million years in the past. [2] Kingdom episode 1 The two sides fight each other, and the ensuing conflict drags on until only six Maximals remain: Optimus, Cheetor, Rattrap, Tigatron, Airazor, and Rhinox. Kingdom episode 2
At some point after the Maximals and Predacons arrive on Earth, the Ark and Nemesis arrive over prehistoric Earth, shunted thirty million years forward in time as a result of their trip through the Dead Universe. [3] Before either side can make a move, Deseeus and his new minions aboard the Fools’ Fortune catch up with both ships; the chaotic three-way space battle ends with Megatron stealing the Matrix of Leadership from Optimus before the destruction of the ‘’Fools’ Fortune’’ sends both ships hurtling toward the planet below. Earthrise episode 6
Shortly after the crash-landing, the Maximals and Predacons make contact with the Autobots and Decepticons. Kingdom episode 1 As the Maximals and Autobots work together to rescue Airazor from Decepticon captivity, the honorable Predacon Dinobot forms an alliance with Starscream and Blackarachnia to find the AllSpark. Kingdom episode 2 Both factions set out to find the AllSpark, which has created an illusory labyrinth that deliberately bewilders and confuses the Cybertronians. While Megatron’s knowledge of the future allows him to pinpoint the location of the Golden Disk, Dinobot has a falling out with his would-be allies and continues his search alone. However, his quest brings him into conflict with the Decepticons; after first taking out Soundwave Dinobot nearly bests Megatron before “Beast” Megatron fatally impales him. Although Dinobot dies, his sacrifice allows Prime to reclaim the stolen Matrix and locate the Allspark’s current resting place. Kingdom episode 3 Inside the Allspark’s temple, Optimus and Megatron come to blows once more, while Blackarachnia encourages Starscream to forcibly seize control of the Decepticons. In the ensuing struggle, Megatron briefly seizes the Matrix when Optimus voluntarily surrenders the artifact, but it rejects him and the Autobot-Maximal alliance ultimately claims the AllSpark. Kingdom episode 4
As the Autobots and their new friends make preparations for liftoff, they come under attack from the Decepticons and Predacons aboard the repaired ‘’Nemesis’’. However, the Ark itself fights back—using information gleaned from the Dead Universe and the infinite power of the AllSpark, its Teletraan I computer system reconfigures the ship itself into an enormous Transformer, who fighst back against the ‘’Nemesis’’ and ultimately sinks the enemy vessel into lava. At the same time, however, Starscream—who has stolen the Golden Disk and discovered the truth behind Megatron’s future—is among the Decepticons imprisoned by the Autobots as they return home, who ignore his warnings that returning home is just what Unicron wants. Kingdom episode 5
Upon returning to Cybertron, both sides are attacked by both Galvatron and Nemesis Prime, who have travelled back in time to seize the Allspark and use it to destroy Unicron for good. However, a four-way alliance between Autobots, Maximals, Decepticons, and Predacons pushes the two villains back; buoyed by the disembodied sparks of Elita-1 and her team, who perished on Cybertron thirty million years earlier, the two villains are banished back to their own time period. With the AllSpark returned to the planet, Cybertron returns to life and everyone present agrees to a ceasefire. Kingdom episode 6
"Original" timeline

The Autobots and Decepticons reactivate on Earth. At some point, Megatron captures the Voyager space probe and uses it to create a record of the war. Their war ends with the permanent destruction of the AllSpark. Eventually, Megatron kills Optimus Prime, but is himself mortally wounded. Unicron takes both of them and reformats them into Galvatron and Nemesis Prime.
7000
Cybertron is an uninhabitable wasteland populated by the Maximals and Predacons, who have evolved on Cybertron despite the absence of the AllSpark. They eke out a living on this harsh world under constant threat from Unicron's two servants. Seeking to change history, the ambitious Megatron steals the Golden Disk and travels backwards in time; he is pursued by Optimus Primal, and their actions seemingly annul this timeline for good.
