Transformers vs. The Terminator is a four-issue crossover miniseries that debuted in March 2020,[1] featuring a time-travelling adventure that will bring the Autobots and Decepticons in contact with the heroes and villains of the long-running Terminator franchise.

Overview
In the year 2029, the Earth has been laid to waste, ravaged by the Decepticons after their complete victory over the Autobots. To prevent this from occurring and ensure their own dominance, Skynet sends a lone T-800 unit back in time to 1984 to destroy the dormant Cybertronians and save the future.
Creative team
Produced in partnership with Dark Horse Comics, current license holder of the Terminator franchise, the series sees the return of Transformers author John Barber to the franchise, bringing with him longtime IDW Publishing editor David Mariotte and artist Alex Milne.

- Simon Furman proposed a script for a crossover event between Transformers and Terminator in 2007; however, the project never came to fruition.[2]
