Synopsis
It turns out that the Gung Ho's warp engine is activated by the Black Ball, which is able to talk. During the warp, the Black Ball tells the Maximals about the Angolmois Capsules, which number seven and originated from the final conflict between Lio Convoy and Galvatron on the Nemesis. Upon hearing Lio Convoy's name, Big Convoy feels a bit of déjà vu.
After the ship warps out, the Maximals learn they are approaching the planet Luxor located at point 57 in the 5th Cosmos—only to encounter the Predacon flagship Dinosaur. The rookies start to panic and suggest they fight the Predacons immediately, except, as Heinrad points out, their trainee ship lacks a powerful weapon. Big Convoy turns the ship away just before the Dinosaur begins firing at the Gung Ho. Big Convoy orders the rookies to board the escape pods and land on the planet, assuring them he would be fine. After the rookies escape, they watch the ship get hit and explode.
The Predacons are happy to see the destruction of the Maximal ship, but Magmatron believes that those Maximals couldn't be killed so easily. He asks DNAVI if she has detected anything. D-NAVI confirms there are several living body signal leaving before the ship's destruction. Magmatron then orders the Predacons to land on the planet to search for and kill any Maximal survivors while retrieving the capsule. Dead End volunteers for the task as he wants to fight the famous one-man army, Big Convoy.
After landing on the planet, Break, Longrack, and Stampy find Colada is missing and feel very depressed because of Big Convoy's death. Heinrad tells them Big Convoy had already ordered them, so it is now their mission to investigate the planet. Longrack then becomes high-spirited and aggressive, acting like a leader before setting out. They find the capsule after seeing a mirage due to the Angolmois Energy. However, soon after retrieving the capsule, they are confronted by Dead End, who is disappointed to learn Big Convoy isn't there. Dead End beats up the Maximals with ease, except for Colada, who rises from the sand and fights the Predacon. Colada tells the others to flee while he stalls the Predacon.
Meanwhile, it turns out that the Gung Ho was just damaged and landed on one of the asteroids around Luxor. Big Convoy tells NAVI to switch off the smoking device used to fake the ship's destruction. While they are repairing the ship, Big Convoy asks NAVI to search the records for Lio Convoy. After seeing the records, Big Convoy learns Lio Convoy, a rookie commander, is missing in action. Big Convoy asks NAVI if he and Lio Convoy had served together in any unit; NAVI tells him they didn't, making the Maximal more confused.
Big Convoy decides to enter Luxor's atmosphere to find the rookies. NAVI tries to convince him to bring equipment. Big Convoy can only reply with "I have a thick fur." before going into action.
On Luxor, Colada attacks Dead End fiercely. Despite having no injury, Dead End is stuck in a defensive position till he fires one of his shells. Colada destroys the shell, but Dead End soon knocks him down immediately and is satisfied to have met such a fierce warrior. Elsewhere, the rest of the Maximals run into Sling, who demands the capsule.
Just before Dead End is about to finish Colada and Sling is about to take over the capsule from the rookies, they suddenly get bombarded by Big Convoy with his Big Cannon from a high altitude. Dead End is happy to see Big Convoy, only to receive an order to retreat. The Dinosaur senses some threat beneath the sand. Dead End sadly leaves, while Sling is relieved.
After reuniting with the rookies, Big Convoy puts the wounded Colada on his shoulder and orders the Maximals to get ready to return. However, a new menace is coming...

Notes
- The "標的" (Hyōteki) in the original Japanese title means "target", but it was given a note to be read as "capsule".
- According to a conversation between Big Convoy and NAVI, Big Convoy is actually older than Lio Convoy due to Lio Convoy's time travelling to the past in the Beast Wars II and Neo comic continuity. Big Convoy refers Lio Convoy as "a rookie Convoy" after reading his profile, but without any belittling.
- Big Convoy can survive atmospheric reentry without getting burnt. Big Convoy claims it is because his thick fur can protect him.
- Dead End's shell is identified as "Spiral Bomb".
- When in beast mode, Stampy's eyes are able to project holographic radar.
