GET OVER HERE! ON TIME!

Scorpia transforms from a time machine that is styled like a human watch to a scorpion robot. It is unknown if she retains the ability to travel through time in both modes or if this power is limited to "watch" form.

Ask Vector Prime

Once, when Vector Prime believed himself to be 'just' an Autobot matrix-bearer in Aurex 404.11 Kappa, Scorpia served as his bodyguard and fellow adventurer. She had feelings for him and vice versa, and over time and many adventures, they decided to act on their feelings and ignore his rank.

When the Chronarchitect came calling, Scorpia joined Vector in forming the Time Warriors: troubleshooters helping the multiverse until a final battle against Mogahn the Mass.

When Vector learned his true role, he said a tearful goodbye to Scorpia. He tried to not remember her.

An eternity later, after Vector Prime had ceased to be a multiversal singularity, the Vector Prime of Nexus 208.0 Epsilon was assigned a bodyguard named Scorpia and felt a pang of recognition. Ask Vector Prime

Toys

Generation 2

  • Scorpia (Watch, 1993)
  • Accessories: Watch-band
Sold as side-merchandise in the Generation 2 toyline in the US (through Takara, not Hasbro, interestingly enough), Scorpia transforms from a fairly nondescript chromed digital wristwatch into a robotic scorpion (with a tiny tiny tail) once removed from the watch band. As a watch, Scorpia has a "precision 5-function display", keeping track of not merely the current hour and minute, but also the month, day, and even seconds. High-tech stuff!

Notes

Not Scorpia, but a close-enough ancestor.
  • Scorpia's journey to Transformerdom is a little convoluted. The mold originated from Takara's Kronoform digital watch line, which was also sold in the US under that banner in 1984. However, several US Kronoform items were marketed as Transformers (Autoceptor, Deceptor, and Kaltor); the packaging for these toys showed the entire range of Kronoform watches, including ones that were not sold as Transformers (which was most of them), including "Scorpia" (who could come in either silver-chrome or gold-chrome in this release). Thus, the mold would not become an official Transformer until 1993, with the frame around the LCD display changed to reflect this new branding.
  • The back of the Generation 2 watches' packaging uses a modified version of the not-Transformers box-back text for the original US Kronoform "Robot Time Machine" watch that would become Scorpia's fellow Generation 2 watch "Autobot". Thus, the packaging claims that you can use the watches to "[c]reate robots, lunarlanders[sic], space ships, space creatures and more!" These were all different "modes" you could put the Robot Time Machine in (with some slight name modifications from the original), and could in theory put Autobot in... not so much any of the others though.
  • Due to the name ending in the feminine "ia", many fans concluded that Scorpia is a female. Without an official bio in any form, there was nothing to support or refute this claim until 2015 when the Facebook version of Ask Vector Prime canonized it.
