Heavy Barrel (Cybertron)

Heavy Barrel is a Decepticon-allied Combatronian Mini-Con from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Hi-diddly-ho, Autorinos!

Heavy Barrel is a Mini-Con hailing from a long-dead colony world, rescued by the Decepticons and caught up in the events caused by the Unicron Singularity. He is perhaps the cheeriest, most friendly robot in all of existence, which is incredibly unnerving to friend and foe alike. People can at least comprehend the crazed cackling of a hyper-violent sadist in battle. Polite conversation and compliments during barrages? Not so much. It even creeps Buzzsaw out.^[1]

Timelines

Buzzsaw called out Heavy Barrel during a visit to Combatron, and the Mini-Con fired at Checkpoint before powerlinking to Buzzsaw and providing his partner with some extra firepower. Buzzsaw, with the help of Heavy Barrel, succeeded in capturing the Autobot. Much later, when the Decepticons and their Mini-Con partners were left stranded on the planet, Heavy Barrel helped Skidmark turn the pages of the comic he was reading. Force of Habit

Galaxy Force

Galaxy Force Trigger is a redeco of the Armada Mini-Con Crumplezone, transforming into a Cybertronic tank. He can also form a cockpit with under-slung cannon for the Armada Cyclonus mold, though the remolding on Cybertron Buzzsaw makes using him with that version difficult.

Available only as part of the fourth Micron Booster assortment in Japan, Trigger came in a "blind-packed" box that prevented the buyer from knowing the contents of the box until it was opened.

This toy doubles as the IDW G1 character Heavy Barrel.

Notes

• The packaging for the Micron Booster assortment Trigger was available in does not give any of the Mini-Cons a faction affiliation, so for a time, it was unknown who the Mini-Con associated with... well, officially, at least. Not hard to guess. It wasn't until he received a bio (and new name) through the Fun Publications Official Transformers Collectors' Club that "Heavy Barrel" was officially pegged as the obvious Decepticon-allied Mini-Con partner to Buzzsaw.
