Buzzbomb
From Transformers Wiki
- Buzzbomb is a Predacon from the Beast Era within the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hardworking, unambitious, and dispassionate, Buzzbomb is Cryotek's ideal henchman. For years, he worked at a dock, working efficiently but drawing little attention, until he killed his foreman and the dock's security when Cryotek gave him an offer. Buzzbomb's new boss finds his blue-collar approach to crime refreshing. He'll break any limb or kill any target systematically, and without reservation, simply because it's his job. However, he's not very agile, nor particularly imaginative.

Theft of the Golden Disk
Buzzbomb accompanied Terrorsaur and Waspinator in their mission to secure a getaway ship from Predacon Transwarp Research Center D-F so Megatron and crew could escape after stealing data on the location of the Golden Disk. However, Buzzbomb did not survive the assault on the Predacon hangar... having been shot in the back by Terrorsaur as part of Megatron's double-cross. Theft of the Golden Disk
TransTech
In Axiom Nexus, Buzzbomb was one of many off-worlders who chose to stay on TransTech Cybertron instead of returning home. He took a job at The Blue Deployer working for a Transcendent Technomorph version of Cryotek, along with other shady mechs like Backslash and Black Shadow. Gone Too Far
Beast Wars: Uprising
Buzzbomb was a member of the First Church of Primus, attending the congregation in Dodecahex held by Sunstorm. Left alone by the Resistance after their conquest of the city-state, the Church had no such protection from the Vehicons' counter-strike. Buzzbomb presumably escaped with other members of the congregation through the basement tunnels while Sunstorm ignited his reactor to cover their escape. Derailment
Notes
- Buzzbomb is not named in the cartoon he appears in; his name (and profile information) comes from his profile, published as Fun Publications member-only content on the club website.
- Buzzbomb is modeled after the Cybertron Decepticon Buzzsaw (himself based on a redeco of Beast Wars Waspinator). His coloration comes from the "Fox Kids" version of the original Waspinator mold.
- The name "Buzzbomb" comes from Hasbro's old C.O.P.S. toyline.
