A'ovan habitat

The A'ovan habitat is a specially constructed arcology for the A'ovan refugees that recreates the natural environment of their homeworld.

Ninety kilocycles before the Great War, the A'ovan race narrowly escaped extinction thanks to the efforts of the Cybertronian race, who sent Dai Atlas to coordinate the evacuation of their homeworld when the warlike Thraal unleashed nuclear weapons upon them. Escape Part One The handful of refugees who escaped to Cybertron moved to Iacon's Xeno-Quarter, which would preserve a portion of their old homeworld's biological and cultural heritage until the Cybertronian race could safely relocate them to a new world. The habitat hosted five and a half thousand A'ovan, seven hundred species of imported plants and animals, and genetic samples from ninety-eight thousand more. Cultural relics included a beacon that would summon Dai Atlas if the A'ovan ever required his assistance. Escape Part One Hound enjoyed visiting the A'ovan habitat and often worked with his friend Pra'tyne. Swindle's Rubble once passed by the habitat and expressed a desire to one day visit the interior. The Tether's collapse rained down debris on the habitat and killed one tenth of the arcology's population. Swindle's Not long afterwards, the Insecticons descended upon the habitat to gorge themselves on organic matter until Nautica, Road Rage, and Hound drove them away. A group of frightened A'ovan children attempted to raise Dai Atlas on their communicator, and although they didn't yet know it, the beacon successfully awoke the general from stasis. Escape Part One When it was decided that the Xeno-Quarter would have to be evacuated in light of the Decepticons' increasing power base, the habitat was abandoned as the A'ovans marched towards Darkmount.
