- Motive for request: I'll be generally testing with the MediaWiki interfaces page. I've started to make a few Java scripts in en wiki: Edit Counter, and New pages link. Although I've started a bit easy, I'll make a few more scripts which may require admin rights. I'm an active admin and bureaucrat at testwiki.org, and have no history of abusing any rights. - Requested rights: Sysop
- Comments:
- Hi, you seem to not hold +sysop on any WMF wikis, and have under 3.5k edits overall, while I'm just the new guy around here and sysop granting seems generally fairly liberal around here, it might be useful to know what scripts you plan on testing. That said, that's just my comment :) Snowolf How can I help? 19:10, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have a good experience in WMF wikis. I have sysop on test wikis. See here and at Wikia. I'm talking of few simple scripts I made, see this, and this. These rights are required when I'll be making scripts for unblocking a user, deleting a page, etc, right from your personal toolbar. Dipankan001 (talk) 02:09, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'd also test with the MediaWiki interface pages ;-) Dipankan001 (talk) 08:23, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- This isn't really the place to be testing sysop rights, and I'm not sure why you'd want to if you already have them on another test wiki. If you do not need the flag for your current work, but perhaps might need it in the future, why not request it again when you actually need it? Ajraddatz (talk) 23:38, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- I did not say that I'd be testing the sysop right. TestWiki doesn't allow the MediaWiki namespace to be edited by Sysops, nor crats. Only Project mangers could edit. That's what I'm telling here. Dipankan001 (talk) 06:07, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
- I believe this is yet another attempt by Dipankan001 to collect user flags that they don't need, and probably won't even use. This user has made numerous requests elsewhere. So far on ENWP, they have requested Rollback (declined), Rollback (again declined), Autopatrolled (declined}, Rollback (declined again, third request inside one week), Rollback (again declined), Rollback (again declined), Rollback (again declined), Rollback (accepted), Filemover (accepted) (filemover was revoked after an ANI discussion), Autopatrolled (again declined), Filemover (declined), Filemover (again declined). Then they jumped over to Commons, and started making several requests there. So far on Commons, they have requested Patroller (declined), Autopatrol (declined), Filemover (declined), and Image reviewer (declined). Now, they are on this Wiki requested the sysop flag... - Not done. The above links show that this user is just collecting flags, please stop looking to collect flags and use the flags that you already have more, so that you can prove to us that you are trustworthy and you want to help, Wikipedia is a not a game.
