This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.

Oh dear where to begin...

After a previous attempt to develop a Fallout MMO went nowhere (and even resulted in a lawsuit), Fallout 76 takes the series to online multiplayer, a setting in West Virginia, and acting as a prequel to the whole franchise. However, the game is far more well-known for the very rough state it launched in, with a long list of technical issues, poor design choices, a pretty empty world, lack of human NPCs (until the Wastelanders update), and an absurd number of bugs that read like a novel. And that's not getting into the many controversies post-launch. Some of the issues have been fixed or improved since the Wastelanders update, though many of them still persist to this day.

At least Inon Zur's score and the cover of John Denver's Country Roads are nice.

Hmmm...
To do:
There were going to be loot boxes in the game at one point.
