Lord Fill Me Up!

Today I have a card with this month’s release - Creative Worship: Exclamations Clear Stamp Set.
It is perfect for Bible Journaling but I was in the mood to make a card. I am actually thinking I want to make a CAS set, but I started with the coffee cup and went not so CAS with it :)
Even though I didn't create a Bible Journal page today, I did think it would be fun to use the arrow image to create a corner bookmark. I wanted to be able to mark a potential journal page. It points right at what I want...I really like it and it was really simple!

Here is a close up:

I dove into my OLD stash for designer paper and used Strathmore Bristol Paper and Polychromos colored pencils. For my set, I am thinking Copics as they are so much quicker for me.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are inspired!
Have a great day!

Fun With Skinny Caps

Hello sweet friends!  Happy Friday...hope you had a good week and are ready for the weekend.  There are so many wonderful alphabet stamp sets in the Creative Worship line at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store.  These are great for card making as well as Bible Journaling.  I've been having lots of fun with the Skinny Caps Alpha!

The beautiful flower from the Mason Jar Bouquet set was randomly embossed with Liquid Platinum EP over the Mixed Media background and water colored with Kuretake water colors.  Since I didn't want to cover the pretty flowers, a frame was cut using some rectangle dies.  Skinny Caps were white embossed to spell YOU and part of a sentiment from the Treasured set was embossed on vellum to finish the sentiment.  The great thing about Alphas is you can create just the right sentiment for your card!

Exclamations, a brand new set designed by Krista Hamrick, was just added to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store!  I used the Exclamations set along with Skinny Caps Alpha for a Bible Journaling page.

I just love that little tea cup from the new set!  The color swirl background was watercolored with Neocolor 2 crayons and white gesso was painted on through a stencil to look like steam.  The images were colored with a combination of Neocolor 2 crayons, Pitt Artist Pens, and Prismacolor Pencils.  Other sets used to complete the page include Outline Alpha, His Book, and All Your Heart.

People try to quench the thirsting of their soul with many things the world has to offer.  As the woman at the well discovered, only Jesus can quench our thirst and feed our hunger in a way that satisfies.  The Samaritan woman left her water jug at the well and went away filled!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Cathy
