Birthday Card
At last I can show you this card which I made for a friend's birthday . I had to wait till quite some time afterwards as she didn't open any of her cards on the day. Instead she had an "official" birthday a week later after her son got back from holiday! I used the very pretty stamp set "Butterfly Tree" from Little Claire Designs and coloured it with the new Letraset Flexmarkers. The paper is from Docrafts Me to You range. I hope you like it.

Charity Cards
Once again Docrafts are appealing for cards for Marie Curie with their Create-a -Card for Cancer campaign. Here are a few I have just made.

Black Magic Technique
I saw a demonstration on the internet this week for the " black magic technique" so thought I'd try it and managed to incorporate it into the Monday challenge on Docrafts. The technique is to stamp an image in white onto black card then colour it with pencils and outline in white gel pen. You need to use a stamp that is blocked - not just an outline stamp. The one I used is a gerbera from Funstamps and has been in my stash for ages. The papers are HOTP and Basic Grey Two Scoops.

New Cards
I've spent the afternoon making two cards to catch up with the Monday challenges on Docrafts forum. Well, not strictly true I made one yesterday but was not happy with it so pulled it to pieces and started again. Having a long break hasn't done much for my creativity but it's slowly coming back. I'm going over to Hobbicrafts in Reading tomorrow so maybe that will inspire me and not just my purse! I have just seen that the challenge on Ooh-la-la-Creations is to create a blue card so this one fits the theme for that as well.

Another Fairy Princess Card
I've used another of the fairy princess stamps for the Monday Challenge on Docrafts forum. This time I used the Lilly May stamp, watercoloured and jewels and glossy accents added.

Papernation Rabbit Card
The only other challenge I have managed to do so far this week has been for the Monday Challenge on the Docrafts forum. I decide to use Papernation as I bought it a while ago from QVC and so far had only looked at it! This is the card I made - it's quite a simple one but I was quite pleased with it. The little flowers are sequin flowers but the photo doesn't show them up very well. Really must try to find time to make a few more cards this weekend as yesterday the postman brought me my order from The Crafty Cow of the Redhotbed Fairy Princess stamps. I'm looking forward to having a play but had to do some gardening first!

Tag Challenge Card
Loretta on Docrafts set two challenges for the Bank Holiday. She obviously thought we had nothing else to do other than craft! How right she was as the weather was soooo awful! The first challenge was for a card with tags. I eventually decided to use some Crate Cowgirl papers I had had in my stash for some time and just looked at - as you do! The result was something I wouldn't normally do as it is quite a busy card - but it is growing on me. I will add a sentiment on the bottom tag when I decide who or what it is for. The second challenge card is the one I used in earlier post for the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Some New Challenge Cards
This week I have made two challenge cards so far. The first one is for Friday Sketchers . I used some Papermania papers and my first ( and only) Tilda stamp - well everyone else seems to have them so I thought I should get one too! The lacy border was some white paper sticky lace trim that I bought from a local craft store which is closing down, which I coloured with a brown brilliance ink pad then cut the lace in half lengthwise - very fiddly!! The image is coloured with Twinkling H2Os. I have to say I was quite pleased with the result.
The second one I used the Tilda again coloured in the same way but different colours for the Monday Challenge on the Docrafts forum and also for the challenge at Stamp Something, which is a Thank You challenge. The papers were some that had come with a magazine a long time ago.
