when typing in the path to the rvm it doesnt work

the rvm has to be sourced ... thats why it didnt work

  • the script had to be run like this, source /usr/local/bin/rvm OR . /usr/local/bin/rvm which puts all the variables into the current terminal/"session" instead of opening a new one which is the default behavior of the terminal I can give an example if needed
