I used black white and purple for this card using an image from the Love and Marriage downloads!

Dottie's World :: Not a Card

Well this week the Dottie's World challenge is set by Louise and cannot be a card!!

There are some wonderful artworks by the Design Team and Ruth has done a brilliant job as Guest Designer!! :)

I was inspired by Juliet to make some Dottie Christmas decorations... I've done it! I've completed the challenge.... just in time - Here is my attempt :)

Dottie's World!

Well, I was really stoked this week when I received an email from Louly asking me to be a guest designer for Dottie's World this week ... my excitement turned into fear as I realised what I'd got myself in for... The Dottie's World Design team are fabulous and week after week produce amazing works of art for the challenges!! :)

So, Louise's challenge this week on Dottie's world is a double challenge/ a multi-challenge challenge. The idea is to double up with another challenge.

My first card is doubled up with the Friday Sketchers challenge.
I really loved their sketch ... FUN!! :)
I used Maternity Dottie from the Love and Marriage download set
and coloured her in with my watercolour pencils.




the Cute Card Thursday challenge is one I love! Their theme this week is:
"The Two of Us".



This is absolutely perfect for the Dottie and George "Love and Marriage" downloads...

The problem I had was that there are so many perfect images in this collection and so I decided I'd use a whole stack of them for the one card!! I used Louise's pre-coloured images as I wanted to print them quite small and it is a lot harder to colour images when they are scaled down...
*I did add in an image from the Christmas package*

Oh WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! Look at this indeed!!

Louise sure made my day today (tonight) when she chose Lea and myself for her blogging customers of the month! And we won this GORGEOUS little "Pumpkin Dottie" who will be released in a few weeks time as part of the Halloween collection!!

I had to plug into the printer straight away!! and then it was time for the watercolour pencils to be pulled out.... Here's a little close up for you:

They are just gorgeous and if that's not enough Louise has included coloured images as well!! I could not help myself I had to jump straight in and make some cards! I thought I'd have a go at making some cards using some of the already coloured images... I made them fairly simple so as not to take away from the images themsleves!









Ok - I have to go and colour in some images now!!

Dottie's World :: Animal Magic

My sister Nicky is staying the night and we have done a bit of card making... not a lot though as I am sooo tired!! It's a shame as we don't get to craft together very often - living 300km away from each other!!

Dottie's World Challenge#10

this card is for the Dottie's World Challenge ... I finally got around to making it! Just in the nick of time. Nicola set the challenge this week:

Rhinestones...Ribbon and Raised...
Raised can be corregated/textured Card,embossed paper,3d card or just foam pads, the choice is yours.



In case you can't really see in the picture I have raised the circles (baubles) with foam :)

Happy Birthday Karen

Yesterday it was one of our friend's Birthdays!! Karen works with Guy and has just started coming to our church in the last couple of months... It's great - She's lovely and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better!! I made her this card and Guy took it to work!



I made this card during the week!! I went through various phases and then I stopped and started afresh - I wanted to stick some wool on but was having difficulties... originally I had Dottie sitting on a knitted square but it was way too bulky... then I was gluing wool as a border around the image - way too messy - in the process I wrecked the image and had to colour in a new one... poor Dottie!!

Do you have any tips for sticking wool on cards???

Dottie's World :: Customer Thursday

Wowowowowowowow! Guess what? .......

Juliet picked me for Customer Thursday on Dottie's Wonderful World. I am so stoked!! It really made my day :)

Tomorrow I am going to a kitchen tea so I made this card - who else to use but Cooking Dottie?!
Our printer ink is running out - I think I've been using it too much? so I had to outline Dottie so she stood out :) I have not outlined the ones below tho.... I'm not sure If I'll leave them or if I should outline them still as they are quite faint!



Dottie Skating is my favourite image at the moment.... Oh - did you notice that Dottie had dyed her hair brown for the winter??

Well... these are the last 2 Dottie images from the Funtime Dottie download (the only ones I had not yet used!) ... This is for Juliet's challenge which she also invited us to take part in (to use those images not yet used). So I have now used all my images........

I've just spent a couple of hours colouring in different Dotties! HOW FUN!! :)

Dottie's World :: Holes

The challenge this week on Dottie's World is "Holes"

"This week I want to see you making holes in your projects (no pin pricks, they don't count! (evil laugh again). The holes can be in the actual card or on an element of your card, like mesh or netting. Oh and of course it goes without saying, you have to use a Charmed download too!"

Well this was perfect - I have been looking at a technique in a magazine this past week about making patterns using holes and was hoping to try it out so I've given it a bit of a go here although the pattern is a bit random.. I used the Serenditpity technique in the background and then stuck the coloured paper which I had made holes with my eyelet tool on top -- I'm pretty pleased with it... - the colours show up kinda like disco lights.






*** Jac - For my last Dottie card I used the Creative Memories Custom Cutting System to make the shape of the card.... I will post a photo later in the week ... I will also post instructions for the slide card later in the week too! ***

Dottie's World :: Floral

So the challenge this week on Dottie's World is "Floral".

Go and have a look - those ladies have made FABULOUS cards again!

I Thought I'd go with a flower shaped card!!...and also added some hand doodled flowers!!
I love this Dottie!! getting all glammed up :)

The photo was not that good being night time and all...We have a working light and a tripod... they are both good for taking photos at night! It's amazing how changing the contrast makes such a big difference! (thanks Louly!)*see Louly's camera tips - here*



Juliet challenged herself to use all the images she has not yet and invited us to join her... I think I can do that as I have almost used them all now (all the ones I have!) ... I think that means I shall have to purchase another download sometime soon! :)

Dottie's World :: Stripes and Stitching

The challenge (set by Juliet) on Dottie's world this week is to use:
a 'Dottie's World" download as well as both stripes and stitching.

I have been wanting to improve my stitching on my cards and so I decided to make not one but 2 cards this week! Both cards are made with the "Fun Time Dottie" download... I have ALMOST used all of them (from Fun time) now....hmmmmm.....

1. Swimming Dottie :: Poor Dottie is looking a bit blue... she must have been underwater for too long!!


2. Shopping Dottie :: she's looking a bit brighter after some retail therapy! :)

The challenge for this past week on Dotties World was a sketch one ... I have the dimensions all messed up - but here is my card anyway!! Also my colouring was not so good this time - too much water*!!!!
