Hallo,
Well I managed to get my house cleaned yesterday with some minimal assistance from the teens....and a small bit of yard work....and then after lunch another couple errands run...so that makes for less errands for me to accomplish today :)
Hopefully the rain will hold off a bit here and I can do a bit of yard work after Miss Princess Puppy takes me for a long walk :)
Todays project is using one of my newest images from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'Posey' and I colored her with my copics. I love how she turned out too!!! I haven't used my copics for a couple months now just because they aren't quite as portable as my pencils but I really love them.
I colored her in typical posey flower colors - actually I colored 2 of her and will show you the other one tomorrow. You know me and purples anyway so it was a fun image to color!!!
I blinged her up a bit with some paper flowers that I colored to match with glimmer mist in teals and purple, added some gold sticker pearls, ribbons and teal pearl drops with a viva décor pen.
Well better get a move on here - DH's Mom arrives tonight and the rest of the crew tomorrow in several batches...
Have a great week!!!

Valentines - Sweet Pea Style
Hallo,
Well I managed a bit of crafting time this week mainly on Thursday - I worked sunday and Monday with 4 days off after. I had hoped for more crafting time but didn't quite get there - house work needed to get done and I still had the hanging on of a nasty head cold which had me a bit tired and lazy....I played in the craft room most of the day Thursday though and it was soooo nice!!!!
I set up another table in my craft room and set up all my stuff to do some encaustic. While my wax was melting in the am I finished off a couple cards. This one will probably be the DH's Valentines card :)
This is a Sweet Pea digital image from Charity Dauenhauer called "The Vintage Heart"
I colored her with copics and then cut her out with Spellbinders dies.
I am entering her into the monthly challenge over at 'One Sweet Challenge' - the theme this month is Valentines/Love :) Check out the challenge here - www.onesweetchallenge.blogspot.com
The last 3 pics are what it looks like in my craft room with the extra table set up and my wax stuff - a bit cramped but still doable (maybe someday I will win the lottery and be able to build myself a really cool studio - until then I will have fun any way I can!!! :)
I will show you some wax creations soon - I am hoping to get another day to play with wax this week....
All for tonight - headed off to work...

Owl friendship
Hallo,
Well it is Monday and it sure feels like a Monday - I guess I will get my nap early today. I really shouldn't be tired after having the weekend off but I didn't sleep well last night and I need a nap before working tonight anyhow....
Puppy took me for a long walk out on base this morning. It has been over a week since we went and she was rowdy. We had company in the fields today as a military group was out there doing an exercise but they said they were doing anything 'too crazy' and gave me the thumbs up to head out. We met up with them again about half way through our walk - Kyna had scared up a deer and was deep in the woods and then with the noise the boys were making (which really wasn't much) she had trouble finding me again....it was only about 10 minutes total but I was beginning to worry....it didn't phase her at all(she probably found a couple squirrels to chase on her way back from chasing the deer....)
Well today's card is for the current challenge over at Impression Obsession and calls for 'something to be thankful for' - I am Thankful for all the good friends in my life :)
I used the 'Owl be Thankful' set (#CL293) and 'CAC Scratches" (#CC044) - I used the cover a card for the background and 2 images from the Owl set and colored them with copics. I used an out-of-the-die technique for the owl and phrase and then partially colored another owl and popped up the tummy portion of the owl for a bit of dimension.
I cut both image panels out with Spellbinders dies and edged them with a bit of walnut stain distress ink.
Lastly I added some bronze colored pearl drops with a viva decor pen.
Check out the challenge here - www.mitrafriant.typepad.com
Have a great week!!!

March Gina K CSS hop - sparkles
Hallo,
Welcome to this months Gina K CSS Alumni blog hop - our theme this time is 'Simplicity Sparkles' to make a clean and simple card and use only embellishments that sparkle.
Make sure to leave some comments along the way because we will be drawing one random commenter to win a grab bag of Gina K design products!!!!
If you are following along the hop then you came to me from the very sweet and talented Miesje http://miesdf.blogspot.com/2013/03/css-simplicity-sparkles-blog-hop-3-26.html and I am sure she had some great eye candy!!
Also part of the challenge for this time we are using sets from releases from September 2012 through Februrary 2013.
I chose the 'Beyond Baskets' set combined with the older 'Holiday Baskets' set. I did a small bit of masking and then colored with copics. I cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and used an out-of-the-box technique and then edged it with a gold mettalic pen.
I colored over the top of the flowers with yellow glitter pen and then added more glitter with some clear stickles.
In 2 of the corners I added some gold pearl drops with a touch of stickles over the top after they dried for some sparkle.
Next I send you on to the very talented Vicki http://allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2013/03/stv-css-hop.html where I am sure she has some great sparkle for you too!!!
I am at work again tonight and then have 3 days off!!!! Yippee!!!
Take Care

Another Christmas wreath
Hallo,
Very early this saturday am - craft fair day so wish me luck!!! I have an outside booth this year because I was a little late signing up, so I am really glad the weather is nice and cool and not raining!!!!
Another wreath to show you today - again all the leaves were cut using Spellbinders and sizzix leaf dies out of papers from my scrap drawers . The plain cardstock ones I ran through texture folders - herringbone, Christmas ornaments, swirlys, flourishes.....
All the stamps - letters and the poinsetta aref rom Flourishes and colored with copics. I strung the letters onto a gold ribbon.
I am entering this in this weeks Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes which is to make something 'winter' . Check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
All for now - still have some setting up to do and I am seeing more daylight :).
Take Care and have a great day!!!!

White pointsetta wreath
Hallo,
A nice relaxing Saturday morning here at the Fujan house :)
I had a busy day of wreath making yesterday and will finish off the rest today!!
My craft room inspector checked out the wreaths for me to make sure they were just right - my old meow Fancy has many years experience helping me in the craft room, she is over 21 years old - will be 22 middle of December.
Todays wreath is another of the red and green variety Christmas wreaths. I raided my scrap bin for red, green and gold cardstock and DP and die cut the leaves with both Spellbinders and Sizzix leaf die cuts. I then took the plain cardstock ones and ran them through various texture folders and hot glued them to the wreath.
The stamps are all from Flourishes - the letters are colored with copics and the main image colored with prismacolor pencils.
I have 2 more Christmas ones to finish and then a batch of steampunkish/manly type ones.
All for this am - Take Care

Happy Thanksgiving
Hallo,
Welcome to my first day of 2 whole weeks off from work!!!! Yippee!!!! I didnot get called in to work so I stayed up late in the craft room and then tucked into bed for the rest of the night . This morning was a quick walk for me and my Kyna puppy and then off to a photography class I am taking. Some lunch and now the rest of the day will be for the craft room!!!
I finished off this card for the last of the release challenges over at Flourishes - this one was to 'go natural'. Check out the challenges here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
For my card I used stamps from Flourishes - colored with copics. I cut all the layers with Spellbinders dies and edged them with a copper mettalic pen. The dark brown layer I ran through a wood grain texture folder but it is hard to see.
I used some wallpaper that has a stone grain look for the next layer and a ribbon made of natural fibers.
Ok, thats all from me today - back to the craft room I go :)
Have a great weekend!!!!

Fall Pumpkin wreath
Hallo,
Well home from work, got the puppy her walk and now just giving her time to settle down and I will head for my bed.
I got some good craft time on Sunday this weekend as it rained all day!!!!
I did a couple more Halloween wreaths.
The leaves were all made from scraps of cardstock and Halloween DP - in yellow, orange, red and brown. I die cut the leaves and then ran the plain cardstock ones through embossing folders. Finally I hot glued them onto the wreath.
The pumpkin stamp is from Holly Berry - colored with copics. I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and the layer under it and then added some pearls in copper with a tulip fabric pen.
The banner is done with stamps from Flourishes - colored with copics and strung up on twine.
I now have 3 Halloween wreaths waiting for the craft fair - tempted to keep one for myself - problem is deciding WHICH one!!!
I will have more encaustic wax pics this week too - I had class again yesterday and we worked with clayboard - very nice surface to work on!!!
All for today - Take Care!!!

Glitter twilight
Hallo,
I managed a bit of craft time today - I had origionally planned this image for the last challenge over at CHF which was circles but I didn't get ti done in time, so I did it up this the current challenge which is to make a shaped card.
Check out the current Cornish Heritage Farms challenge here - www.cornishheritagefarms.blogspot.com
I used one of my Thomas Kinkade images and colored it with copics.
After I cut it out with a Spellbinders die I ran it through my xyron to add adhesive to the front and then added some clear glitter (from MS) - I had edged the edges with a silver mettalic pen before that too.....
I then cut out the base cardstock with another Spellbinders die, edged it with silver metallic pen and added a silver mess ribbon and some silver pearl drops with a tulip fabric pen.
I am now up to about 25 Christmas cards made - which is good but I send out a TON of cards - so I do have quite a few to go!!!
All for today - need to try and get back to the craft room as it is overflowing with projects waiting to be done and I have a craft fair coming in under a month!!! Too bad I have to work....I could get so much done in the craft room!!!!
Have a great week!!!

I am a bit behind the power curve this am as I thought we were starting our hop this evening as most of our CSS hops do....so I am late, I had my card mostly done, just had to finish, photo and type when I discovered I was late (after a bit of very humid warm yard work - summer in Florida has begun!!)
I love this stamp from Inkadinkado - I have a bunch of blue bottles on my porch and the sun shines through them so gloriously in the morning here and I even have flowers blooming to put in them too!!! So I am sending Karen a bit of sunshine straight from my back porch today!!!
I colored them with copics and the phrase is from Gina K - even the set is called 'Sending Sunshine' :)
All for me today - going to try to get some house cleaning done and clean out my old mini van - starting to smell like old sneakers in there......
Take Care and Get well fast Karen!!!!!

Family
Hallo,
Just a quick little post this evening....I have had good luck finding cute little frames at the thrift shops lately and grabbed this one out of the pile today to do up for a challenge over at Stamp TV.
The challenge was to do something square....and I thought my Kindred family would be cute - sadly it looks like the only one left (and not retired) is the Mom one on the left in the middle - she is called 'Kindred Spirit Rachel'
I colored them with copics and layered them to a dark cardstock (which you can't really see unless you look close at an angle - but thats the way I wanted it :)
This was a fun little project and it will be up on my Etsy site later this evening :)
All for tonight - Take Care
