Holotype: BMNH 13.10.24.58, adult ♀, skin and skull.
Type locality: “Mindo, N.W. of Quito[, (0°5'S, 78º50'W), on the Rio Mindo, a tributary of the Rio Blanco, Pichincha Prov., Ecuador]. Alt. 4213 ft. [=1,284 m].”
