This very well could be the case. While handstand is not a strength based movement, it’s a skill. It still requires a certain amount of strength to support the body.

2 key points 
1️⃣ do your best to keep pressing out tall through the shoulders to promote that holowbody shape 

2️⃣do your best to keep the pelvic tucked vs arching the back with the exception of arch to pike. 

Both of the above go hand in hand 

If you are newer, 
aim for 3-5 reps or 5-10 seconds on the pike hold
