Christmas cactus quilt pattern

I think the name of this quilt is Cactus Wreath. This is a customers quilt that I quilted. The top was perfectly pieced and a lot of fun to quilt. Lots of Leafs and some swirls. This is the first time I tried the swirls. I think I like them.

Cactus in the Cabin Quilt Pattern

I quilted this one with the Seasons design from Anne Bright. It's a gorgeous design. This quilt has been waiting for 4 years to get quilted. I'm glad I waited to find the perfect design. I used a green and red variegated thread. This design takes a lot of thread! I think I went through at least 16 bobbins. It took about 8 hours to quilt this thing. Here is the back using a cuddle type fabric from Joann's. The quilting shows up fantastic on the back. I used a solid red thread in the bobbin.

This is my latest invention called "Cactus Rose". The center of the wall quilt is paper pieced. Notice the shinny fabric in the dark green and the dark red, this give the quilt some dimension and sparkle. Posted by Barbara

My daughter and I got quilts done in the nick of done to be sent off to the quilter's for quilting for Christmas. My daughter got her quilt done super fast. It took her one month to have it completed. The background fabric was bought at at our guild meeting in October. All of the fabric was from her collection. I am constantly amazed at how good she is at picking out fabrics for quilts. I was not that good when I first started. My quilt I started three years ago. I got the piecing completed…
