Pareidolia — MIMI JUNG

A languid, handwoven and hand-painted, golden metallic textile. Created on a traditional loom using natural fibers from France and Italy along with metal filament. Woven by rising star and luxury artisan Morgane Baroghel-Crucq, a finalist for the coveted LVMH x Elle France "Prix des Artisanes" award who has worked with legacy luxury brands such as Hèrmes. Her work can be applied from fashion pieces to interior projects like window treatments, bedframe accents, pillows, furniture, and more.

I had the best day yesterday at Teotitlán de Valle in Oaxaca Mexico. I’ve always seen these images online of hand woven artisanal rugs, which are dyed with natural dyes from things like plants, bugs & minerals. And honestly I’ve always wanted to come and see it for myself.
