Sir John Boorman CBE (/ˈbʊərmən/; born 18 January 1933) is an English filmmaker.[1]

Boorman is best known for his feature movies such as Point Blank, Hell in the Pacific, Leo the Last, Deliverance, Zardoz, Excalibur, The Emerald Forest, Hope and Glory, The General, The Tailor of Panama, and Queen and Country.

Boorman has directed 22 movies and received five Academy Award nominations.
