Friedrich Konrad Beilstein

Friedrich Konrad Beilstein (17 February 1838 – 18 October 1906), Russian name Фёдор Фёдорович Бейльштейн, was a chemist and founder of the famous Handbuch der organischen Chemie (Handbook of Organic Chemistry). He is author of Beilstein database.[1]

Biography
[change | change source]Beilstein was born in a family of Germany. He went to German school. He studied chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. He has much interest in organic chemistry. He also obtained his master's degree in organic chemistry. For his Ph.D., Beilstein joined Friedrich Wöhler at the University of Göttingen, receiving his doctorate in organic chemistry.[2]
