Its north end is at Future [[Interstate 69]] (I-69), Future [[Interstate 369 (Texas)|I-369]], [[U.S. Route 59|US 59]], and [[U.S. Route 84|US 84]] in [[Tenaha, Texas|Tenaha]]. The highway is {{convert|133.74|mi|km}} long. 

The route does not follow the normal numbering rule, as even-numbered two-digit highways are supposed to go east–west by rule.
