Thank you for you prayers too! We have less than two months for the big day and I am beginning to get scared again. As you know there is a dark cloud that sits over us ever day, I feel I want to go ahead and have the surgery done so we can get past this, yet I want to wait as long as I can because I don't want to go through it. But it is out of my hands.. May 20 here we come!
I have also been praying for Owen. He is a regular in my daily prayers now. ;) Please keep me posted. I am just not familiar with transplants but I do know that Texas Children's is HUGE in the heart world, so it is likely they do work with those children.. I just don't know. I know that MANY heart surgeons come from the medical school in Houston. I am sure the suspense is eatting you up inside. If you ever have any questions and do not want to wait.. don't hesitate to call Elaine, chief surgeons nurse. She is AMAZING. And she will tell you anything and everything you need to know over the phone about transplant. She is the transplant surgeons nurse so she knows everything or you can even talk to the surgeon himself. He had no problem at all calling me, he cares so much. You can tell her Bentley's mom referred you. Goodness, I sound like I work for them or something. I promise I don't. ;) We live 4 hours away and there are several other places we can go near by but I am so in love with Texas Children's. Either way, I hope you find the answers you are looking for. I am praying like crazy for you all!!!
