ODBDSLC62, C4C89 My Light....and more!

Happy Memorial weekend!

What a busy week it has been! My girls had their last official school day yesterday...yikes! As you can imagine they are extremely excited about it. We have a few fun things planned for them...like Vacation Bible School, a few Artistic Camps and we'll be doing some road trips as well!!! This will also be my first summer working....sniff! Knowing that my girls and hubby can sleep in for the most of the time is killing me...LOL!!! Anyway, I hope you have something super fun planned for this weekend??? We'll be hanging out here at the house and maybe escape to the pool in the late afternoon. We had some hot, hot temps already and I think I'm getting to old to sun bath all day :) .

If you have time, why don't you come and play the ODBD Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC62 with us??? Chris has challenged us to a fun Sketch and I hope you like it too? I also made this card for this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C89. The theme this week is to create a card showing your *favorite vacation spot or activity.* My favorite spot is definitely the beach :) !!! (see last picture)

Here is my take on it....

I used a very special Set called Light of the World. This was actually my very first ODBD Stamp Set I have bought many, many years ago. This is also how my journey with Kelley's company started :) !!! The minute I saw  this beautiful Scripture Set I knew I had to have it and as you can imagine I was beyond thrilled when she had ask me to be on her Design Team back then and of course now!!!

My card was put together quickly with the BasicGrey DP from the Olivia Collection, a doily, some Brown Satin Ribbon with the SU Antique Brad, the Brown Pearls and the Prima Flowers...voila!

As always, please make sure to check out my team mates beautiful card ideas ~ Sabrina, Francie, Pat, Chris and our Guest Designer Rosemary. Don't forget to swing by the C4C blog as well!

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for stopping by today! I'll be back on Tuesday with two new cards...see ya then! Hugs ~S~

FTTC119, CR84FN29 Happy Anniversary...and some BLOG CANDY!!!

Happy Tuesday again everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend? We sure did...we had so much fun at Rebecca's party. We took her and her friends *bowling* and I played a round of *laser tack*. Becca and I we were so exhausted we had to take a three hour nap...LOL! It was also our boxer *Luke's* birthday...our puppy turned 3 yrs on Sunday. I have some BLOG CANDY  waiting at the end of my post so make sure to play along!!!

First let me tell you a little bit about today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge ~ FTTC119. Dee Jackson is our host and she challenged us to create a *Box or Bag* or simply decorate a pre-made one! Fairly easy...hope you'll come and play along!?!?

Here is my idea.....

My box was created with the SU Bigz L Petal Cone Die. I used the brand spankin' new Flourishes
Country Charm Labels Set and the sentiment is from the brand spankin' new Wedded Bliss Set. Both images were inked in SU Crumb Cake. The DP is from the PTI Guide Lines Collection. The rest of my box was embellished with some Prima Flowers, some White Pearls, Button, Cotton Lace and some matching PTI Satin Ribbon. Of course I can not forget to mention that my color inspiration came from Mona's beautiful color combo CR84FN29.

Please make sure to check out my team mates beautiful ideas ~ Cindy, Maki, Dee, Betty, Tammy and our sweet May Guest Designer Brenda O'Rear aka *Benzi*!!!

Now onto the fun part...some BLOG CANDY!!!  Jan Marie, the owner of  Flourishes graciously gave us some extra Stamp Sets from the brand spankin' new May Release...YEAH!!! You can win the Country Charm Label Set and the Wedded Bliss Set (using both Set's on my box today) by simply answering one simple question.....*HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK OUR BOXER PUPPY "LUKE" WEIGHT AT HIS LAST VET APPOINTMENT ON SATURDAY???* Okay, he is not a puppy anymore.....he is
3 years old now..!!! If two or more participants comes close to the correct weight my daughter Rebecca will  draw the final winner and I will announce the lucky winner next Tuesday with my next Flourishes project!!! Have fun playing...!!!!

Happy weekend everyone!

I would like to give a shout out to my big sister Anja...she is celebrating her birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG SIS!!!! Love you and miss you so much!!! Unfortunately we won't be able to spend this day together since she is living overseas...sniff! On a happier note....we are also celebrating my middle daughter Rebecca's birthday today. She will actually turn 10 tomorrow, but with the end of school year and Memorial weekend next weekend, we'll be having some fun today! I can't believe she is turning 10....my baby is growing up way tooooooooo fast!!!

Moving on today's card.....Chris is hosting a new ODBD Shining Light Challenge ~ ODBDSLC61 today and she challenged us to created a card/project with either *Plaid or Gingham Ribbon*...easy peasy and I hope you will join in the fun?!?

Here is my idea.....

I'm using a beautiful ODBD Set called Missing You.  I've been wanting to color this Set for a while now :) !!! I inked it in Memento Black and colored it with these Copic Markers ~ R14,R17, E27, Y15, YR07, YG11, G21, G24, G94, V17, V09, and Colorless Blender. As you can tell I kept the layout very simple and tried to focus on the Red/White Gingham Ribbon. Hope you like it?

Before you go, please make sure to check out my team mates as well ~Sabrina, Francie, Pat, Chris and Rosemary.

Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy what ever you do today! Hugs ~S~

C4C88 Totally Stampalicious...

Hello again!!!!

It's time for a new Crazy 4 Challenge ~ C4C88. Our sweet Joanne is still hosting and she is challenging us to create a *Humorous* card/project.

Since Totally Stampalicious is our Sponsor this week, I have the pleasure of showing off this fun image called Cafe Scarlette. I've been admiring these fun stamps for a while now and I'm so glad I had a chance to play with them for this challenge.

Here is my idea....

The image was inked in  Memento Black and I colored it with these Copic Markers ~ R0000, R00, R23, Y15, YR0000, E37, B93, G94 plus Colorless Blender. The DP in the background is from the SU Blushing Bride Collection and I matched it up with some Daffodil Delight CS, Ribbon and a matching Button. Couldn't resist adding a doily, a MFT Rosette,  Prima Flowers and some Silver Pearls.

Please make sure to stop by the C4C Blog to see the teams fun creations. I'll be back in a few hours with a new card...see ya then! Hugs ~S~

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!!

Happy TGIF and welcome to a super duper special post!

We are celebrating my sweet friend Barbara Anders birthday today....HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARB!!! Wishing you a fabulous and relaxing day today!!!

Our sneaky friend Tammy has planned this fun little birthday blog for Barb and of course I couldn't resist playing along! Hope you take the time to hop around with us and see all the beautiful cards everyone has created for the birthday girl?!?

If you came here from Cindy's blog than you are right on track :) !!! If not please start at Tammy's blog and work your way back here :) thank you!!!

Here is my card for Barb....

I used the brand spankin' new Country Charm Label  and the Many Sentiments Set from Flourishes. I don't own the matching dies for this Label Set yet, so I simply cut it out and embellished it with some Halfback Pearls. For the background I used some SU Blushing Bride DP. I pierced around the circle and traced it with a White Gel Pen. Next I added the Cotton Lace, the Black/White Gingham Ribbon, the Pink Prima Flowers and the punched out MS Butterfly.

Now it's time to hop on over to my sweet friend Julie Koerber!!!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by! Enjoy your weekend and I'll be back with a fun card tomorrow! Hugs ~S~
