The dimensions of primary, secondary and tertiary irrigation canals must be in accordance with the area of agricultural land and the cropping pattern applied. The aims of this study are (1) to analyze the need for irrigation water at the intake of the Sidopangus Irrigation Area (DI) Semarang Regency; and (2) analyzing the dimensions of secondary irrigation channels in DI Sidopangus, Semarang Regency. This research was conducted at the Sidopangus DI whose source of water comes from the Sidomble Dam in Semarang Regency. Survey method was used in this research. Analysis of irrigation water needs and channel dimensions was done manually using the referral KP-01. The results of the study that can be stated was that the need for irrigation water in rice fields (NFR) was equal to 0.813 l/s/ha and the smallest maximum irrigation water demand (DR) was equal to 1.251 l/s/ha which occurs in late November to early December. The study also found that the dimensions in the secondary channel ie channel width (b) were 1.42 m; water level at the bed of the channel (h) is 0.71 m; slope of the irrigation channel (m) is 1; and irrigation canal height is 0.50 m.

Developing Fashion Design Vocational Career Guidance Module

This research was conducted with the main problem, namely the lack of resources that can be used ... more This research was conducted with the main problem, namely the lack of resources that can be used by productive teachers in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in supporting industrial career path learning. Teaching materials that can be used as a provision to prepare students to enter the workplace, especially the fashion study program. This research aims to produce a feasible, practical, and effective module. In this research method, the R&D, the chosen design is ADDIE which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The unit of analysis of this research is the fashion design vocational career guidance module. The instruments used in this study are (1) module assessment sheets; (2) questionnaires; and (3) and a questionnaire. The data analysis used in this study consisted of: (1) categories to determine the feasibility level of the module; (2) Guttman's categorization for the practicality of the module, using the coefficients Kr and Ks; and (3) n gain test using t test, for module effectiveness. The results of the module feasibility test obtained a score of 4,71% with a very feasible category, the practicality of the module is 88% with very practical criteria, and the effectiveness of the module obtained an N-Gain score of 82.37%. It can be concluded that the module is effectively used as vocational teaching materials. Previous research is developing a printed career material module in a broad scope and it is necessary to have a career focus in a particular field. In this study, the module focuses on a career in fashion that is feasible, practical, and effectively used by productive students and teachers in learning industrial career paths.

This analysis aims to determine and compare deflections that occur on poles that are in granular soil by using the manual calculation of the p-y curve method with finite difference approaches and calculations with Allpile and Plaxis software. The analysis was conducted three times, namely on a 60 cm diameter pole at a depth of 10 meters embedded pile with lateral loads of 25 kN, 50 kN, and 75 kN. The data used to calculate the lateral deflection of the pole is secondary data. Lateral deflection analysis using Plaxis software with a load of 25 kN, 50 kN, and 75 kN obtained lateral deflection of the uppermost pole respectively 0.159 cm, 0.324 cm, and 0.545 cm. Two full-scale corner beam-column joints with and without fuse bars were designed, constructed, t... more Two full-scale corner beam-column joints with and without fuse bars were designed, constructed, tested, analyzed and modeled under in-plane lateral cyclic loading presented herein. The first specimen was designed using Eurocode 8 and equipped with four fuse bars. Second specimen was designed using BS8110 (non-seismic code of practice) with corbel. All the specimens have similar size of foundation beams, columns and beams. Visual observation during testing showed that specimen with fuse bars suffered less damage as compare with specimen without fuse bars. Furthermore, specimen with fuse bars has higher lateral strength capacity, stiffness, ductility and equivalent viscous damping than specimen without fuse bars. Finally, there is good agreement of lateral strength capacity, ductility, stiffness and equivalent viscous damping which lies between 2% and 20% between experiment and modeling hysteresis loops. Thus, it is recommended that fuse bar as a green structural material can be installed inside the corner beam-column joint for RC buildings to cater strong earthquakes in high seismic regions.

For example, the planning of a water building needed a method to calculate the design flood discharge before starting to plan the dimensions of the building to meet the effectiveness of the water structure. Design flood discharge can be determined using several hydrograph methods that have been used in water building planning in Indonesia. One of the popular hydrograph methods is the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph method. In this case, the design flood discharge is in the Garang watershed, precisely in Semarang, Central Java province, using rainfall data for the past 16 years. Hydrological analysis is carried out first before determining the design flood discharge with a return period of 2, 5, 10, 25, and 50 years. The results of the design flood discharge using Nakayasu method respectively were 305,522 m 3 /s, 390,742 m 3 /s, 447,783 m 3 /s, 520,560 m 3 /s, and 574,912 m 3 /s.

Industrial Work Practice is a superior program for Vocational Schools to provide experience to the Business World and the Industrial World to their students. The research sample consisted of SMKs in the fields of engineering technology, business management and tourism. Respondents involved were principals, productive program teachers and business and industry instructors. The results of the analysis of the need to develop evaluation instruments for competency-based Vocational Industry Work Practices are as follows: 1) there are three aspects of Industrial Work Practices which are the main aspects in evaluation instruments, namely: a) aspects of Industrial Work Practices readiness, b) implementation aspects of Work Practices Industry, and c) aspects of monitoring and evaluating Industrial Work Practices; 2) 87% of respondents stated that continuous evaluation of the Industrial Work Practices program had not been implemented properly; 3) 79% of respondents stated that the Industrial Work Practices program that was running, did not yet have a standard evaluation instrument; 4) 85% of respondents stated that they strongly agreed when standard evaluation instruments were developed, in order to support the ongoing evaluation process in the Industrial Work Practice program based on competency. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that Vocational Schools need a standard instrument for evaluating industrial work practice programs, in order to support the improvement of the quality of the implementation of competency-based Vocational Industry Work Practices.

This study employed descriptive survey method. The population in this study was the 4 th semester of Vocational Education Master Program students. Graduate students vocational education encounter obstacles in preparing a thesis on the medium category is 9.75%; while 90.25% in the low category. The students of Vocational Education Master Program who experience internal obstacles in preparing a thesis in the medium category are 9.75%; while 90.25% in the low category. Vocational Education students in the Master Program who experience external obstacles in preparing the thesis in the medium category are 21.95%; while 78.05% in the low category. Conclusion the study were: (1) Internally students do not experience problems in preparing thesis; and (2) Externally the problem felt by students is in terms of cost.

Force caused by negative pressure will lift the bed surface and side walls of the building hydraulic structures, which can lead to flaking on the bed surface and side walls of the building. In supercritical flow, air from the atmosphere enters into the body even reach the bed flow. Air entrainment enters into the body and bed flow can prevent or reduce the phenomenon of cavitation in channels bed. The purposes of this study were: (a) describe concentration distribution of air bubbles in the developing regions of the self air entrainment; (b) describe concentration distribution of air bubbles in the artificial air entrainment; and (c) aerator effectiveness test in increasing air bubble concentration in the steep channel bed. Three purposes of research were achieved using experimental methods implemented in the Hydraulics Laboratory of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (JTSL), Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). In this study, the steep channel having a length of 10 m, width 0.2 m, height 0.4 m with slope varies from 20º, and 25º, which was fused with the wall of the water tank. Discharge was 20.9 l/s. The conclusion of this research were: (a) the concentration distribution of air bubbles on the condition of self-air entrainment in slope channel bed 25º and discharge=20.9 l/s can be predicted using the results of the calculation equation Straub and Anderson (1958) modification; (b) the concentration distribution of artificial air entrainment on the slope of the channel bed=25º at a point 7.2 m from the inlet flume and in the free surface aeration, was the Gaussian or normal, and (c) on the slope of the channel bed=25°, at a point 7.2 m from the inlet flume on the condition of artificial air entrainment in the downstream flow region after the first aerator installed a new aerator is not required anymore.

Pemerintah sebagai regulator dan sekaligus penanggung jawab, pada tanggal 30 Juni 2004 telah mendeklarasikan penggunaan dan pengembangan Open Source Software . Inti dari deklarasi ini adalah menyebarluaskan pemanfaatan Open Source Software (OSS) di Indonesia. Sehubungan dengan itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk membangun sistem pembelajaran online open source software dan menyebarluaskan pemanfaatan open source software kepada khalayak luas. Sedangkan konten open source yang ditempatkan pada sistem pembelajaran online open source software meliputi Open office Writer , Open Office Calc , Mozilla Firefox, Instalasi server LAMP dan instalasi aplikasi di Linux fedora. Industrial Work Practice is a superior program for Vocational Schools to provide experience to the Business World and the Industrial World to their students. The research sample consisted of SMKs in the fields of engineering technology, business management and tourism. Respondents involved were principals, productive program teachers and business and industry instructors. The results of the analysis of the need to develop evaluation instruments for competency-based Vocational Industry Work Practices are as follows: 1) there are three aspects of Industrial Work Practices which are the main aspects in evaluation instruments, namely: a) aspects of Industrial Work Practices readiness, b) implementation aspects of Work Practices Industry, and c) aspects of monitoring and evaluating Industrial Work Practices; 2) 87% of respondents stated that continuous evaluation of the Industrial Work Practices program had not been implemented properly; 3) 79% of respondents stated that the Industrial Work Practices program that was running, did not yet have a standard evaluation instrument; 4) 85% of respondents stated that they strongly agreed when standard evaluation instruments were developed, in order to support the ongoing evaluation process in the Industrial Work Practice program based on competency. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that Vocational Schools need a standard instrument for evaluating industrial work practice programs, in order to support the improvement of the quality of the implementation of competency-based Vocational Industry Work Practices.

This study employed descriptive survey method. The population in this study was the 4 th semester of Vocational Education Master Program students. Graduate students vocational education encounter obstacles in preparing a thesis on the medium category is 9.75%; while 90.25% in the low category. The students of Vocational Education Master Program who experience internal obstacles in preparing a thesis in the medium category are 9.75%; while 90.25% in the low category. Vocational Education students in the Master Program who experience external obstacles in preparing the thesis in the medium category are 21.95%; while 78.05% in the low category. Conclusion the study were: (1) Internally students do not experience problems in preparing thesis; and (2) Externally the problem felt by students is in terms of cost.

These less large dimensions cause the groundsill weight to be small, so its stability is very doubtful. It is this doubt on the groundsill stability that led to this research. The aims of this study were to analyze the stability of the Groundsill Bridge in the Garang River channel on the force of overturning, sliding, eccentricity, bearing capacity of the soil, and piping. This research employed survey method. Data collection methods used were observation and secondary data. Analysis of the data were rainfall design of a 50 years return period; flood discharge design with a 50 years return period; the forces acting on the groundsill, and the groundsill stability. Force caused by negative pressure will lift the bed surface and side walls of the building hydraulic structures, which can lead to flaking on the bed surface and side walls of the building. In supercritical flow, air from the atmosphere enters into the body even reach the bed flow. Air entrainment enters into the body and bed flow can prevent or reduce the phenomenon of cavitation in channels bed. The purposes of this study were: (a) describe concentration distribution of air bubbles in the developing regions of the self air entrainment; (b) describe concentration distribution of air bubbles in the artificial air entrainment; and (c) aerator effectiveness test in increasing air bubble concentration in the steep channel bed. Three purposes of research were achieved using experimental methods implemented in the Hydraulics Laboratory of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (JTSL), Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). In this study, the steep channel having a length of 10 m, width 0.2 m, height 0.4 m with slope varies from 20º, and 25º, which was fused with the wall of the water tank. Discharge was 20.9 l/s. The conclusion of this research were: (a) the concentration distribution of air bubbles on the condition of self-air entrainment in slope channel bed 25º and discharge=20.9 l/s can be predicted using the results of the calculation equation Straub and Anderson (1958) modification; (b) the concentration distribution of artificial air entrainment on the slope of the channel bed=25º at a point 7.2 m from the inlet flume and in the free surface aeration, was the Gaussian or normal, and (c) on the slope of the channel bed=25°, at a point 7.2 m from the inlet flume on the condition of artificial air entrainment in the downstream flow region after the first aerator installed a new aerator is not required anymore.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hidraulika JTSL FT-UGM. Pada penelitian ini digunakan saluran curam yang mempunyai panjang 10 m, lebar 0,2 m dengan kemiringan berubah-ubah mulai 15°, dan 20o, yang menyatu dengan dinding bak air. Penyaluran air ke dalam bak dilakukan dari tangki yang dikendalikan oleh katup. Debit adalah 0,209 m 3 /dt. Instrumen berupa V-Notch digunakan untuk mengkalibrasi hasil pengukuran debit.
