Non-Valentine heart card

One of our Splitcoaststampers.com friends is having Open Heart surgery soon, and we are sending her Non-Valentine themed heart cards.

I pulled out this Unity Stamps image and stamped it, then created a mask.  Then I pulled out Distress sprays and went to town.  I used an old SU heart punch and a separate small heart punch and made a template to mask in hearts on the background in different colors.  The MFT die cut in black helped frame the main panel and I added an embossed layer below that too.
The sentiment and die cut are from Pink Fresh Studios.
I hope this will bring a smile to the recipients face!

Unused No More!

A couple of my crafty friends, Jeanette and Barb came up with a new challenge for 2025, Unused no more. Lets use some of the products we have on our shelves that are gathering dust!
I have a (clearing throat) few unused items.  We can use stamps, stencils, die cuts, embossing folders, etc....any crafty items we own.

I pulled out a Unity set that is unused except for one sentiment and made a card for a wedding I attended this past weekend.

The birdhouse is embossed using Queens Gold EP, and the birds stamped in Ballet Blue, then Versamark and clear EP was used.
I layered 2 die cuts I had - the top one from a used supplies sale, and the 2nd I will ID and edit my post.  A layer of gold cardstock was added. There is a sentiment inside also from the same Unity set.

We are a group that attends the 'Gather' retreat each year in Wisconsin in early April and craft the weekend away. Many of us met on Splitcoaststampers.com and are from across the miles (One friend is even joining this year from Canada!).  Those without blogs will post on Social Media somewhere.

These are the links to the ladies that are bloggers.  Each name is linkable to their blogs : )

Barb , CarolJeanette TerryRebekahDarlene , LJ has a blog but mostly posts to Instagram, Angela, Terry and Kathy will post on Social Media.

Rediscovery IG Hop

I joined in an Instagram Hop to rediscover supplies...  and our theme is Sympathy and/or One layer cards. I made one of each......

My sympathy card uses a newer set from Altenew, but the sentiment set is Gina K/Unity which has been sitting lonely in my stash for ages!

I used the stamp, then used the stencil to brush in the images.  I used Copics to fine tune the edges.  I do not enjoy making Sympathy cards, but seem to need them more and more lately.......

Next, I did a one-layer card.  The postage rates have increased so much if there are any embellishments on cards, aka lumps or bumps.....  so, we aim to minimize......

This sweet image is by Impression Obsession.  Both of my sisters are huge gardeners....  I am not as I have pretty bad allergies!  My husband is out green thumb : )
This image is colored on heavy cardstock using Copics and Distress Oxide inks. There is Wink of Stella on the bee. How sweet is this!

Challenges TBA

I have a Teapot Tuesday card to complete, so I went to work and used a Unity Owl that I have not previously used and stamped it in 2 different colors using the DP for color inspiration.

Using the Sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers for inspiration, I used the owl DP in the backgrounds and fussy cut the owls and then added a sentiment from Hero Arts and embellishments.

This card is for the Teapoit challenge which is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I used Bird, Scoring and ribbon.  I stamped the Unity image in So Saffron ink, I scored the So Saffron cardstock edging around the edges, and added a touch of ribbon as a perch for the bird.

For this card, I used the image and stamped in blue. I used a SU punch for the leaves and used paper tearing for the branch.  I used the Splitcoaststampers sketch 912 for the backing, and added the branch and leaves.

This card will go postal tomorrow to another Teapotter at SCS.

She deserves a party!

My niece is expecting, and is in Texas, so I sent her this card and it is from my 2 sisters and myself.

I love this sweet image from Unity Stamps!  I did paper piecing for her top and Copics for the rest.  I cut the sentiment and placed it down the side of the card. My Sweet niece has alot in the last 6 months, she got married, bought a house, had her Pharm D boards, Graduation, Lost a young Bil in a tragic accident, having a baby, moved into new house.....  Yep, quite a lot!!!  I wanted to send her Hugs and smiles too!  You gotta admit, this is such a fun sentiment and image!!

VSN day 2

Another few hours of stamping..... The VSN or Virtual Stamp night theme is 'In a Word'.......

 This word: Numbers

The image is Art Impressions and it is colored using Copics. Pale Plum ink and shimmery Washi is added to the background. The purple panel is Pale plum and then it is added again thru the stencil.

This is: Monochromatic

I used a Gelli plate brayered Distress inks for the tulips- embossed using White EP. There is a pierced background on the black layer. I am trying more CAS cards, what do you think?

This is: Lace

Oh, I loved trying this- I made 3 images in a row of the butterflies, raised the middle one, die cut the panel and added a dainty lace to the top and bottom.  The image is Unity and I added COpic coloring and lace.

Thanks for stopping by!

VSN=Virtual Stamp Night Day 1

This past weekend was VSN at Splitcoaststampers.  I joined in but still have a few cards to complete to be done with all of the challenges : )

The first challenge was BUMPY.  We are to add Embossing (modeling) paste or make the surface bumpy.  I used a stencil and added SSS gel glitter gel to the 'Bumpy' areas. The image and sentiments- MFT.

The next challenge was LIGHT aka, just stamp and add that layer to the base cardstock. This is a Whipper Snapper image and sentiment, and I colored using Copics.

Finally- REVITALIZE.  Per the challenge - used 3 greens, a sentiment that reflects Life or vitality.... and something that was or is alive....
Nothing like the leaves coming back to our trees that have had bare branches all winter!  I used a Die-Versions background die and added greens to it, placed it over the Garden Green card and added a Unity sentiment and SU die cut leaves in Gold Glitter cardstock.
More cards to come- I do have more to complete before I have all of the challenges complete!

Travel Folio

I joined in a challenge at Splitcoast called Teapot Tickle (7/27), and am just finishing my project.  At the end of the month, we send our tickles to each other, so I am a touch late.....  This will get out in the mail tomorrow : )

 Our theme was destination.

So, this folio opens with the side on the Rt here- that is the cover.  My destination, the Galapagos Islands- nature baby!!!
The last page is the page on the Lt.....  on the bottom, the strip says, "  was here".

E
On the inside, we made the pages fold up where you could put anything- I made tags to fit into the slots.
The digi images are from a new to me company called E-scape and Scrap.  I mixed images from a few sets.  There are a couple of Unity stamps here as well -on the tags.

A little Zen and Alpha play : )

I had a bit of time to create early this week, and I worked on cards for challenges I follow at Splitcoaststampers.

For the Alpha challenge, I made 2 cards- I am a bit behind, but will get caught up.....

E is for Europe.  I made a card using stamps depicting the Netherlands. (HAd to google that- yes, it is in Europe).

I used Distress inks and Copics for coloring the images. The die cut is Gina Marie. I am not positive, but think the stamps are TAC.

F is for Fantasy.  I do not have and fairy stamps, but found this Tinkerbelle image in my stash by All Night Media.

I stamped the image in a gray by Gina K Designs, then overstamped using Versamark and put Stardust EP on the stars below Tinkerbelle, and clear EP over the rest of her.  I masked the image and used DIstress inks on the background.  I added White paint mixed with a little Irisdscent EP and added splatters.  I added white gel pen over the swirl of stars as they were too dark.  The image was colored using Copics. I added sequins to finish off the card.

For the Tuesday Teapot Tickle-we made Zentangle cards to send to other participants.

I outlined this camera from a TCW stencil, and filled it in with Zentangling. I colored the background using Copics. The cardstock has Distress inks sponged on, and I also added some stamping and splattering with water. The sentient by Unity was fussy cut and sequins and glossy accents added too. This was such a fun and relaxing card, and I made it while Zooming with some crafty friends which I enjoy doing : )

I hope you are having a great week and I am trying to get to blogs- slowly but surely!!!
