Your Lack Of Commitment Is Not That Disturbing

The pro-Hamas campaign to vote uncommited in the Michigan primary yesterday to try and push the Biden Administration to become even more pro-Hamas didn't amount to all that much, per the New York Times:

About 13 percent of Democratic voters cast ballots for “uncommitted” after activists suggested doing so to protest Biden’s policies. (By comparison, about 11 percent voted “uncommitted” when Barack Obama ran for re-election.)

A 2% increase compared to the amount that were uncommitted for Obama  a President that was very popular among Democrats really doesn't amount to all that much.  For all the sound and furry, that's a fizzle in terms of the Islamist vote flexing in Michigan.

Indeed, it does reveal that Tlaib & co, for all their caterwauling, yelling, and threats, the pro-Islamist vote isn't all that big of a factor, even in Michigan. 

At least not yet.

Green On Blue: Pressures Build In The Democrat's Shaky Coalition

Arabs in Michigan are rather unhappy with Biden right now for not protecting Hamas.

So much so, that progressive squad member Rashida Tlaib (D-Dearborn Gaza) is now calling on Arabs in Michigan to not vote for Biden in the primary but instead vote uncommitted to show they're not happy that Biden is not doing their bidding to protect Hamas.

After all, Dearborn is indeed known as the jihad center of America, and with good reason.

Tlaib's Support For Genocide Even Gets Nessel To Notice

Rashida Tlaib, as is her wont, lies, and lies a lot when it comes to Israel.

She recently ran an twitter video that includes Michigan Arab protestors chanting "From the River to the Sea".

So, what's between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea?  Israel. 

From The River to the Sea (in Arabic from the water to the Water) has always been a call for the destruction of Israel. It was a slogan begin by the PLO and then picked up by Hamas.

Tlaib, being caught out echoing calls for genocide then quickly lied:

On Friday, Tlaib posted a video on the social platform X in which she said President Joe Biden's support of Israel would cost him reelection in 2024, accused him in a lettered overlay of supporting "the genocide of the Palestinian people" and showed protesters in Michigan yelling the slogan "from the river to the sea!" The Detroit Democrat called for Biden to support an immediate cease-fire.

The lone Palestinian-American in Congress linked that tweet to another one that explained what she said she meant by "from the river to the sea" — which refers to from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, or the land between the bodies of water that includes Israel.

"From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights, and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction, or hate," she tweeted Friday. "My work and advocacy is always centered in justice and dignity for all people no matter faith or ethnicity."

This is so absolutely false that even her fellow Michigan progressive Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel called her on her BS. 

Note that her comic buddy and confidante Amer Zahr wears a sweatshirt that has all of Israel replaced with a Arab Keffiyah, and remember that he wiped Israel off the map in Tlaib's office on her first day in Congress.

Tlaib knows exactly what "From the river to the sea" means. Indeed we'll note she retweeted a "From the river to the sea" call back in November 2020, before broadcasting her own a couple days ago - she later deleted it when called out on it.

She's and other fellow-travelers are hoping she can cover a call for genocide that she supports by dissimulation and hoping you don't know what it actually means.

In a charming demonstration in Dearborn, to no one's surprise, they support Hamas.

We then get Amer Zahr, a close confident of Rashida Talib with a laughable attempt to generate sympathy for the Islamists around Dearborn:

"It's insulting that local Jewish organizations and synagogues are saying they're heightening their security because they think Muslim Americans could attack. There have been no threats or attacks on these groups in wake of this," Zahr said. "Do we tell people we're afraid of the Jewish people when there have been daily attacks on Palestinian people for decades? This is absolutely crazy, and a real stab at the Arab American community here in Detroit."

This claim of abject innocence is brought to you by the very same  "comedian" Amer Zahr who wiped Israel off the map in the Congressional office of Rashida Tlaib the day that bint was sworn into office in Congress. 

Oh, and Amer, name a single example of even one of these daily attacks in the US by Jews you claim have been going in for decades will you? We'll wait.

So why would Jews in Michigan be concerned about potential violence from Muslims in the area?

Totally Unexpectedly, Biden Met The Local Hamas Supporters In Dearborn

Yep, while visiting the Ford plant he manged to get some time in with Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-Hamas).

Moments after President Joe Biden landed in Michigan on Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib pressed him to do more to protect Palestinian lives amid continued bloodshed in the Middle East.

Instead of telling her to quit her lies, Biden expressed support for her:

During his Tuesday afternoon speech at a Ford Motor Co. truck plant in Dearborn, Biden publicly responded to Tlaib, a fellow Democrat and the daughter of Palestinian immigrants: "I want to say to you that I admire your intellect, I admire your passion, and I admire your concern for so many other people.

"And from my heart, I pray that your grandma and family are well, and I promise I'm going to do everything to see that they are on the West Bank. You're a fighter, and God thank you for being a fighter."

 A bit of a word salad there Biden, but we get your drift.  Interestingly, if Tlaib's grandma is living in the West Bank then she's only in danger of being hit by Hamas rockets coming out of Gaza  (A quick clue - Gaza is on the opposite side of Israel than the West Bank).

The president's reference to the fighting in Gaza came as Amer Zahr, comedian and president of New Generation for Palestine, led a crowd of more than 1,000 people outside the Dearborn Police Department on Michigan Avenue. A sea of red, black, white and green Palestinian flags waved across the majority Arab American city on the south end, which was blocked off to protesters during one of three Tuesday rallies.

We will note that Amer Zahr is an anti-semitic bosom-buddy of Tlaib, who notably removed Israel from the map in Tlaib's office on the day Tlaib was sworn into Congress.  Charming liar that he is.  When he says "free palestine" he means destroy Israel and kill Jews and he knows it.

More lies also came from former governor candidate Al-Sayed when at the demonstration he stated:

“I’m here today as a doctor, as a human, as an American,” said El-Sayed, adding Palestinians were denied COVID-19 vaccines by the Israeli government. “My government dollars are being spent today to kill innocent children.”

Lies again, Palestinians were never denied Covid vaccines by Israel. Indeed, all Arabs living in Israel were vaccinated same as Jews were.

This blatant lie comes up from Palis and their supporters claiming Israel is required to provide Palis in the West Bank and Gaza with vaccines when instead the Oslo accords clearly require and place that responsibility on the Palis to be in charge of their own healthcare and have their own health department and indeed the Palis after delaying ordered their own vaccines from Russia.  El-Sayed knows this, but he figures you don't.

So yes, Biden met with the Hamsa wing of the Democrat party yesterday.

Tlaib Tweets On NJ Attack Blaming The Victims

Ace of Spades (who should have been in more blogroll for a long time and I've now corrected that oversight) notes that Representative Tlaib stupidly tweeted that the murder of Jews and a Police officer by two Black anti-Semites in New Jersey was a case of "White supremacy kills".

She then deleted the tweet, but the Internet is forever.

Classy as usual there, Tlaib.

While you may think this was an example of how dumb Tlaib is, after all the killers were Black Supremacists, not White Supremacists, but in my opinion being simply stupid isn't what Tlaib was doing at all.

In my opinion Tlaib knew exactly what she was posting as it fits a long track record of leftists and Arabs blaming the Jews for a tragedy even when Jews are the victims.

Hence, in the leftist and Arab worldview, Jews, being considered by the leftists and Arabs to be White, and Jews are thus White supremacists who are clearly at fault for this act of terrorism by existing. Yes the actual White Supremacists are probably choking on this lefty theology, but it is what it is.

After all, who are the only White people involved in this act of Terrorism? The Jews and the police officer who was shot prior to their attacking the Kosher supermarket.

In short and again in my opinion, Tlaib's tweet rather than being merely stupid was her deliberately playing to her anti-Semitic base in a language they're used to hearing in her District.

What In The Counter-Factual F Was That Tlaib?

Rep Tlaib (D - Dearbonistan) never fails to enliven up the news.

Her latest faux pas that she's now claiming she was "misquoted" about was her feeling calm about the Holocaust and the hilarious and impressively counter-factual claim that her ancestors the "Palestinians" created a "safe haven for Jews"

Kinda hard to twist this any other way than how she said it:

"There's always a calming feeling, I always tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holocaust in the fact that it was my ancestors, Palestinians, who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, the human dignity," Tlaib said.

"Their existence in many ways have been wiped out and some people's passports. All of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews — post the Holocaust, post the tragedy and horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away, right? And it was forced on them.

Yes that's exactly what she said and what she believes, or or at least would have you believe she believes.

Her statement is both rather shocking to those who don't know the Arab mindset about Jews and the Holocaust, and otherwise pretty hilarious as it omits the plethora of anti-Semitic massacres and attacks by Arabs of the region against Jews - so much so that the claim that her people "created a safe haven" is beyond laughable. On top of that, there never was a state of Palestine, so no passports would have existed that said Palestine on them.

The amazingly counterfactual claim that her ancestors provided Jews a safe haven is rather amazing and shows a deliberate distortion and rewriting of history on her part. With her ancestors palling it up with Adolf Hitler and planning to kill all the Jews in the Palestine mandate had the Nazis won, it sure promised quite a safe haven. Such a safe haven they gave, with features like the Hebron massacre even before World War 2, and then countless acts of violence afterwards all the way up to and beyond the founding of the state of Israel.

Of course once she's exposed she tries to claim her statements were twisted is the standard trope of "Who ya gonna believe - Tlaib or your lying eyes and ears?"

Between Ilhan Omar and Tlaib, the Democrats are sure positioning themselves heading into 2020 as the leaders in anti-Semitism and revisionist history.

Tlaib: Let's Impeach Trump, Because Orange Man Bad, Or Something

Tlaib the local Dem gift that keeps on giving, joins the idiot wing of the Democrat clown car in issuing resolutions to impeach Trump.

Tlaib's resolution, much like its predecessors, seems to be impeach Trump first, find some reason for it later.

Tlaib has long called for Trump's impeachment. She made national headlines hours after her January swearing-in by issuing a cry at a Washington party to "impeach the mother(expletive)."

Bring some popcorn, the Dems are definitely putting on a show for their base - much sound, furry, and Orange Man Bad, with no actual grounds for impeachment.

Rep Tlaib Has Had Quite A Week

Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-Dearbornistan, D-Palestine, D-Vie Prog), has had quite a week.

In addition to her vulgar outburst regarding Trump, her supporters removed Israel from a map in her Congressional Office.

Yes, really.

It's going to be an interesting couple years in Congress.

Michigan's newest Congresscritter has decided to make a splash for herself and get noticed. Perhaps Occasional-Cortex was hogging the limelight and Rashida Tlaib wanted some progressive spotlight time on herself.

Because nothing says classy and "truth-to-power" like fever-dreams of impeachment delivered with profanity:

Michigan Dems Introduce Bill For Firearms Registration And Then They Go Full Stupid While Doing So

In a bill that will likely go nowhere considering we have a Republican majority in the House and Senate and a Republican Governor here in Michigan, the usual Democrat representatives are up to their typical anti-gun ways.

Why they want to rile the pro-gun base up in an election year is rather questionable, perhaps they know they're not going to pickup any pro-gun vote and are just playing to their base to show they're doing something and hoping for campaign donations for Bloomberg et al?

House Bill 4774 was introduced by Reps. Townsend, Schor, Barnett, Hovey-Wright, Lipton, Irwin, Robinson, Durhal, Zemke, Singh, Roberts, Stallworth, Talabi, Hobbs, Tlaib, Dillon, Slavens, Rutledge and Oakes.

Quite a rogues gallery of Dems there, some with rather interesting backgrounds.

The bill would require a license to purchase any firearm and that all firearms are to be registered, not just pistols as is currently (and annoyingly) the case in Michigan.

But wait, there's more.

Understand that these legislators don't really understand current Michigan firearms law, so they merely went through and changed the word Pistol to Firearm in existing law regarding purchase transport and licensing (registration). This creates some major problems and lots of stupidity.

If this law is enforced as they have written it, then no one from outside the state could bring a long gun into the state unless they were licensed by their their state to posses the long gun and have that license with them (see Section 2(8)). Since most if not all states don't do this, kiss all revenue from out-of-state hunters and shooters coming to Michigan good-bye, considering they can't legally bring a firearm into this state. Ooops.

The bill gets even dumber as there's a definite error in it that negates the actual registration of long guns as it only requires the paperwork be done on them but then the law as badly written as it is does not require the form to be sent in to the State Police so it conceivably just sits around for no purpose, except if you fail to keep a copy as a buyer, you have no way to prove you complied with the law - that's a trap if there ever was one.

In short, it's a perfect example of a stupid law, with unintended and intended bad consequences that likely will go nowhere and is being introduced just to play to the anti-gun base. Now, if there was a Democrat governor and the Democrats held a majority intbeh House I'd be worried, as it is, this bill should go nowhere.

But do tell me again how urging Republicans, conservatives and pro-gun people to vote for a known anti-gun Democrat for governor will lead to pro-gun nirvana in Michigan.

Dearbon Democrat Caught Ducking Taxes

Representative Rashida Tlaib has been mentioned on this blog before, and she's now making an appearance for some tax problems, namely having two principal residence exemptions.

You're only supposed to have one.

Of course, she blames not herself as much as the

“broken” property tax system that allowed her and her husband to double-claim principal residences in both cities, lowering their annual tax bill on the rental house in Dearborn by 18 mills and shortchanging the Dearborn School District by about $350 annually.

This is rather nonsense, when you buy a house as a primary residence you have to affirmatively file a primary residence exemption and you're supposed to file the removal of the old one from your prior residence. This isn't unknown to home-buyers and Tlaib as both an attorney and politician knew or should have known this. It's not rocket science, and the instructions on the exemption form are very clear.

For 5 years she saved about $1,750 in taxes having her rental listed as a primary residence.

Democrat politicians and taxes just don't seem to go well together in the Detroit area.

After all, taxes are for the little people, not for Detroit-area Democrat politicians.

No One Said Michigan Democrats Have To Be Economically Literate, And They're Not

Democrat Representative Rashida Tlaib is more illiterate than most.

In Michigan we have a rescission economy at best, businesses aren't hiring, business costs are forecast to sharply rise due to the Obamacare mandate due to requirements to make business pay for health insurance or be fined, and what is Tlaib's solution?

Yes, she actually thinks that businesses, when faced with higher costs for low-level employees will run out and go on a hiring spree because the employees will now cost a lot more.

A stronger minimum wage will help restore the consumer spending that powers our economy and that local businesses need in order to grow.

Really?  Increasing a business' costs will encourage them to hire more employees and help them grow? Brilliant!

The sad thing is, a lot of Michiganders believe this and are as economically illiterate as she is:

In a poll of Michigan residents conducted by Google Consumers Survey, commissioned by Oakland county Commissioner David Woodward and Progress Michigan, more than 70% of Michiganders would support an increase to $9 an hour. This represents a clear mandate.

No, it represents economic ignorance, not a mandate. The minimum wage is not a middle class wage, and was never meant to be such, but she seems to think it should be raised until the lowest-level job guarantees a middle class standard of living:

Unless we can pay our workers more, our most vulnerable citizens will continue to suffer the most. Increasing the minimum wage has the potential to create good-paying jobs that build a strong middle class, attract and retain workers, and alleviate poverty.

Democrat magical thinking is rather beautiful isn't it?

Step 3. Hooray! We've built a strong middle class!

 Of course, Ms. Tlaib is free to pay her employees whatever wages she wishes, regardless of the minimum wage.  But wait, she's not running a business, nor has she ever ran a busienss. She's a Democrat representative and she isn't paying her staff with her money, nor does she have to face the reality of the economic effect of her ideological meanderings.

Even more interestingly, Ms. Tlaib's other Democrat policies are if anything depressing wages in Michigan and ensuring the poor never rise to become middle class.  She's all in favor of illegal immigrants coming in and depressing wages.

Rep Tlaib, you can't have an increasing low-level labor supply creating an excess of low-level workers at the same time that you try to raise the prices for hiring these same workers, further reducing demand to hire these workers, and then expect an economic revival of the middle class to result.

Michigan Arab solidarity only goes so far, and now there's a breaking sexual harassment scandal involving Imad Hamad. Yes that Imad Hamad - Detroit News Michiganian of the Year for 2002 (Boy can the DN pick em huh?), suspected member of the PFLP terrorist group and supporter of Hezbollah and Hamas. Yes that Imad Hamad.

And, according to the articles it is not just one woman coming forward with these allegations, but many.

Apparently sexual harassment isn't a form of discrimination opposed by the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Then again under Islam, women are at quite a lower status than men, so he may have considered these alleged acts acceptable especially among his peers.

Ah, the fabled land of Dearbornistan, where the rules and norms of behavior are apparently quite different from the rest of America.

Apparently Tlaib seems to think being an "undocumented alien" is about the same no-big-deal thing as being an undocumented out-of-district Representative.

Of course there's now an interesting question as to whether Rep Tlaib is legitimately (D-Detroit) or is an undocumented representative herself. Thanks to her really annoying her father, the allegation has now come out from her dad that she was really living in Dearborn and gave a non-resident address when she ran for her Detroit legislative seat.

Now Tlaib's father is piping in. He said his daughter misrepresented her residency when she signed an election affidavit in 2008 with the Wayne County Clerk claiming she was a citizen of Detroit.

According to that affidavit, Tlaib claimed she lived at 9123 Rathbone in Detroit. That house is owned in part by her father, Harbi Elabed, and he now says she did not live there and he was only recently made aware that she had claimed so. "She lied," said Elabed, 61, an immigrant from Jerusalem and father of 14 who prides himself on Old World values of parental fealty. "She lied big-time to get elected. I never teach her that way. I teach her the right way. It's my house. She didn't live there. She lived in Dearborn in her house with her husband and boy."

Dearborn is not a part of the 12th House District that Tlaib was elected to represent.

Oops, you know its bad when your own dad drops the dime on you and throws open the whole question as to whether you were really qualified to be a representative of a district at the time she ran.

So an illegally residented representative wants illegal residents to get workers compensation, it all makes perfect sense.

New Cobo plan would raise Detroit's stake

The plan would first give Detroit another $15 million to sweeten the deal and 2 spots on the committee and Wayne County 2, leaving Oakland County, Macomb and the State with only 1. You can see the problem with that right? Have the suburbs and State kick in the money and then never get any accountability for it. What could possibly go wrong?

Oh yeah, the two state representatives, Reps. Shanelle Jackson and Rashida Tlaib are both (D-Detroit), now why didn't the Detroit Free press point out that little conflict of interest?

Oakland County's Executive L. Brooks Patterson is no fool and isn't falling for it (He's one of the main reasons why Oakland County, while facing a lot of challenges, isn't a total mess while Wayne and Detroit are (also one reason I don't want him running for governor, he's needed here, and needed badly):

It's a compromise Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said Friday night he won't go along with.

"There's no way in hell we're going back to that plan (the seven-member board). That plan calls for two (representatives) for Wayne and two for Detroit. We're out-voted for the rest of my life," he said. "It's not going to happen. We had a deal. I don't want to return to the bargaining table after five years. I'm not sure others want to come back and renegotiate this deal (either)."

Quite simply if Detroit doesn't want to get bailed out and refuses to allow for any accountability, let them keep Cobo to themselves. Have Oakland and Macomb quit paying the hotel and liquor taxes towards that failure and direct them to the building of a new convention center. Build this new convention center outside of Detroit and away from its special costs and special interests, and closer to the Detroit/Wayne County Airport where there's room for a large world class facility on land that's pretty cheap right now and would be convenient for visitors to access, park and travel around safely. I bet it will cost less to build new and bigger than renovate Cobo, and there will be far more accountability and far less slippage than if the money is thrown at renovating Cobo.
