Edmund Valentine White III (13. 1. 1940.-) je američki romanopisac, novelist i kritičar. Trenutno predaje kreativno pisanje kao profesor na Univerzitetu Princeton.[1]
Whiteov je opus obilježila njegova homoseksualnost, koja je bila i temom njegovog najpoznatijeg djela - autobiografskog romana A Boy's Own Story.
Godine 2006. White je zbog svoje drame Terre Haute došao u sukob s poznatim književnikom Goreom Vidalom. U drami je navodno prikazan lik temeljen na Vidalu, a koji je opčinjen likom terorista temeljenim na Timothyju McVeighu.
