Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the motivation level physical, auditory and visually impaired individuals to participate in sports. This research is a study using descriptive type screening model. The sample of study was formed on the basis of volunteerism from 140 athletes with disabilities, 47 female (66.2%) and 92 male (33.8%), participating in competitions in different branches. As a data collection tool, the "Sports Participation Motivation Scale for Individuals with Disabilities" (SPMSID) was used which was developed by Tekkurşun, İlhan, Esentürk and Kan (2018, 95). The data gathered from the research was evaluated by using SPSS 22 package program. Frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation as well as, Bivariate Correlation, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used in the analysis of data. As a result, it was determined that the motivation of the athletes decreased significantly as the sports history and age increased, that the intrinsic motivations of the national athletes were significantly higher, and there was no in all dimensions of sports participation motivation in athletes with disabilities difference according to gender. It was concluded that the motivation of physical, auditory and visually impaired athletes to participate in sports was high in intrinsic motivation sub-dimension.
Abstract
he aim of this study is to examine children's imagining levels in sports in terms of different variables. The study was conducted on 230 students, 97 girls and 133 boys, who were educated in the 7th and 8th grades of the Ziyaeddin Fahri Fındıkoğlu Secondary School in Erzurum province in 2017-2018 academic year and voluntarily participated in the research. In the study, "The Sport Imagery Questionnaire" was used which was developed by Hall, Munroe-Chandler, Fishburne and Hall (2009) and adapted to Turkish by Kafkas (2011) and analyzed for reliability and validity in order to examine the students' imagining levels. In the analysis of the data, SPSS 25 package program was used. Frequency analysis was used to determine demographic characteristics, and T test was used to examine the relationship between two independent variables and imagining levels on sport and analysis of variance was used to examine the relationship between more than two variables and imagining levels on sport. According to the findings, it was found that there was a significant difference between the levels of students' imagining on sport and gender, sport interests, weekly average sports making times, and whether the physical education and sports lessons in school were adequate. There was no significant difference between the variables of classroom level, family structure, sport types and sporting activities. In the research, it was found that there * Bu çalışma 12. ABSTRACT
In this study, it was aimed to examine the attitudes of teacher candidates (gymnastics, classroom and special education) towards the sports activities of mentally disabled individuals. The attitudes of the participants were examined in terms of gender, age, department, regular exercising state, and disabled individuals in the family variables. In the research, the scanning model was used. In the 2017-2018 academic year, a total of 510 volunteer teacher candidates, 332 females and 178 males from Gazi University, Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences, Class Education, Special Education and Physical Education and Sports Teaching, constituted the research group. The "Attitude Scale for The Sports Activities of Mentally Disabled Individuals" developed by İlhan and Esentürk (2015) were used in determining the attitudes of the teacher candidates towards the sports activities of mentally disabled individuals. In the evaluation of the data, SPSS 22.0 statistical package program was employed. As a result, it was found that the attitude levels of female participants were higher than those of male participants, and that of regular athletes were higher than those of non-athletes and that of students studying in special education were higher than those who study in other departments. No significant difference was found in the variable of having a disabled individual in the family. It has been determined that the attitudes of the teacher candidates towards the sporting activities of individuals with intellectual disabilities are moderate.
"One-way variance analysis" was used for the comparisons of more than two groups. According to the findings gathered from the data, it was seen that there is significant differentiation in the level of violence sensitivity towards children of teacher candidates and age, family structure, and class level. However it was seen that there is no remarkable differentiation in terms of sex, accommodation, and having more siblings or not at all. According to the results, it was seen that violence sensitivity towards children decreases when age and class level increases, and that those teacher candidates who have nuclear family have higher level of sensitivity.
