Stephanie Ridgway on Instagram: "Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is inflammation or irritation of the extensor tendons of the wrist at their attachment to the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.  Tennis elbow can be caused by tennis, but it’s more commonly caused by other repetitive movements like typing, writing, painting, cooking, and constantly picking things up.  It causes pain in the outer part of the elbow and can prevent your from doing a lot of your daily activities.  The goal of treatment is to reduce inflammation and build strength in the muscles surrounding the elbow.  These are a few of the exercises I use to treat patients with tennis elbow. Pressure is placed on the ball through the web. With the elbow locked you can get some really good resistance throughout the upper extremity all the way up to the shoulder.   ✨Placing the powerweb over the container like this makes it easier to engage the entire upper extremity in this exercise, and doesn’t require a strong second hand to hold it in place!  2️⃣Place the medicine ball onto the putty. Push the ball down into the putty as much as you can until you hit the table.
