The Kinetograph: Haunted by the idea of other countries pulling ahead in photographic and camera evolution, the very famous Thomas Edison, along with his assistant, William Dickson, created the kinetograph in 1890. This device could record moving pictures. Two years later, the pair presented the kinetoscope, which was able to project the moving pictures on the screen.
