Materials: •2x Besta Units(1200x400x380mm) with HANVIKEN door fronts and Soft Closing/Push-Open Hinges •Structual Timber (70mmx 45mm) •Timber Screws •Bog Filler •Semi Gloss Paint •Primer Paint •Liquid Nails •Skirting Board (140mm height) •Hardwood Timber Panel in ‘Ash’ (2.4m length) Tools - nail gun, drill, hand sander, drop saw, paint brush, paint roller, circular saw Method: 1. Using the structural timber, create two frames (to a height of 140mm) as a base for the cabinets. The day was sunny, and unbearably hot. The Boss was young, cute, extremely chatty and somewhat demanding Her Mommy was an amazing cook. The job was an Ikea hack. This is our story. My niece who will be referred to as Mommy from here on out, was looking for a built-in bench to put along her blank wall. I designed this space over 3 years ago now and i still love it. - We used the @ikeauk Besta TV unit that can be wall mounted. Then we added the Laxviken door fronts in white, also from @ikeauk - The shelf that sits on the TV unit is a laminate worktop from @bandq_uk - we cut it to size, added some matching edging strip and then screwed it from underneath to hold it on. - The panelling was made from mdf boards that were cut to strips - also from @bandq_uk it was painted in Farrow and Ball Armonite - colour matched by Valspar. - The tv is 65” @lg_uk - The walls are painted in @duluxuk White cotton 🤍 - Any questions please ask away….
