Sunflower Thank You
Happy Thursday to you! So sorry it has taken this long to post. You know that old adage, lightning doesn't strike twice? WRONG! Early Monday morning a lightning bolt hit our home (for the second time in the last three months...) and it blew our satellite dish apart. And I do not kid when I say blew it apart... We found pieces scattered all OVER the backyard. We lost our telephone and telephone service, the dish, an alarm clock... I had no power in my scrap room! EEEKKKK... and my Cricut AND laptop took power surges... Thankfully both had built in surge protectors. I purchased a new cord for my computer today! ***Yeah, I can post!!*** And I am waiting on a replacement cord for my E2... Hopefully that will fix the problem as well!
To make things more chaotic, today we had to take dear hubs to Northern KY for a medical procedure. Prayers were answered! He is doing great and had a wonderful report! God is good all the time! Thanks to Chris Olsen over at ODBD who has been SO WONDERFUL! She has been a God send during this technologically challenged time! ***Big hugs if you are reading this Chris!***
Today's project was inspired by a lovely card in the August edition of Papercrafts. The design (by Julie Campbell) used a medallion. I decided to use the same technique to make a sunflower! It was easy and fun all at the same time! This card is also being featured over at Faithfully Yours. Please take a moment to hop over and see what other ideas Dawn has to share! Blessings to you and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Friends and Stamps...
It's a super day when good friends loan you great stamps! Recently my friend, Diane, loaned me one out of her stash. Originally I intended to use the image for a coloring class but as sometimes happens kept the image to myself. :-P As you may know I have used the sunflower theme on several cards over the last two years. I love them! And it is so fun to color them with Copics! So here's to good friends in life who trust you with their stamps! They are the best! And just for the record Diane did get her stamp back... ;-p

The Blessing of the Lord Be Upon You
I told you Saturday that I love these new designs from Our Daily Bread! I couldn't wait to try a different card. If you check out Our Daily Bread Designs Blog they are having a challenge this week and I decided to use these stamps to submit a card. The challenge is to use 3 of something... inks, layers, stamps, etc. Kinda fun, huh? So I decided to use three different stamps. It mushroomed though, as it often does, and I managed to use three inks, three layers and three colors too... :-) I thought the three challenge was pretty cool... after all three plays such an important part in the Bible... Jesus was in the tomb three days... the trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost... Hope you have a blessed Monday!

Psalm 85:12
I need to get some important business out of the way this morning. I AM SO EXCITED! There, I said it, screamed it from the rooftop, drove my St. Bernards nuts and tore my neighbors up at 5:30AM in the morning... :-) Why have I lost my mind, you ask? I love, love, love the new Our Daily Bread Designs Stamp Sets! How did I come to this state of mind? It all began this way...
Dear hubby and step-son took off early this morning to move the first load of essentials into son's new apartment in Lynchburg, Virginia. You know, important bachelor stuff, like a couch and television... LOL... I gave them strict instructions to write down a list of things he forgot (or may need) and bring it back this weekend. So while they are away I planned on doing some serious housecleaning, relaxing and of course scrappin! (Not necessarily in that order...) So as soon as the car left the drive I pulled out my new ODBD set and went to work. The results are amazing! I know it isn't me... so it has to be the stamps! This has to be one of my all-time favorite cards. Thanks as always for looking and reading! I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Autumn Card
It is August 2nd in Kentucky... time when you can fry an egg on the sidewalk, right? Wrong! July was the 2nd coolest on record. We have had only 2 days this year that we reached 90 degrees. This week we expect another round of cool temperatures. My body and my St. Bernards are completely puzzled by this weather... loving it, but puzzled nonetheless! So to celebrate the premature fall-like weather, I created an autumn card. I really wanted to use my Cuttlebug Pumpkins embossing folder and needed an excuse to do it... LOL. I colored the image with Prisma markers. I always loved to color as a child. Some things never change, right? Hope you are making the best of your weather!
