It seems like I only scrap cards at the moment. I haven't created anything else in the past two weeks. I came across a folding technique this morning and wanted to try it straight away. It is the Dahlia folding technique. Again I used the beautiful Making Memories Noteworthy papers.
Supplies: Bazzill Kraft cardstock, Making Memories Noteworthy PPs, Queen & Co Bold Round Brad, white lace and Sizzix Scallop Frame.
Have a nice weekend!!

Cards
The weather is beautiful today. I wanted to go somewhere with the girls this afternoon, but Tess, a girl from Sanne's class, asked this morning if she could come over to our place to play. Sanne gets along really well with Tess, and of course she wanted to play with her. While the girls were playing with the Bratz dolls I created a card. Quite a simple one, but I so love these Sassafras Lass papers.
Last week I received the latest issue of Papercrafts Magazine in the mail. I really love that magazine. It is always full of gorgeous cards and ideas. One of the cards in the magazine inspired me to make the card below. Can you tell I LOVE buttons??? The brown/white flower paper is the packaging of a Basic Grey chipboard album.

A Quick Update....
- Sanne is doing fine. The medication did its work, and yesterday morning the rash was gone. Thanks for your comforting words.
- My SIL Lisette recommends Jessica Sprague's beginners class Up & Running with Photoshop on her blog. I would love to learn about digital scrapbooking in Photoshop Elements as I really have no clue how to work with layers, etc. Jessica's class could be a good start, so I registered myself this morning.
- Yesterday I had a review meeting at work. They were very positive about me and my work. Always nice to hear, isn't it? I will be rewarded with a salary increase and a bonus. :D I have been working with this company for only 6 months, but it feels like I have been here for ages. I am happy, and real glad that I got offered this job last year.
Have a nice day!

Poor Little Girl
All of a sudden Sanne was covered with red spots all over her body yesterday morning. When she walked into our bedroom in the morning she told me that her back was itching. I rubbed her back and she was doing better. Since it was still a bit dark and I wasn't really awake I didn't notice anything. When we were downstairs I noticed she had these red spots in her face. I checked the rest of her body and found out she had spots everywhere. I called the GP on duty and could see him in the morning. He examined Sanne and told me she has hives (netelroos/urticaria). It is an allergic reaction, but I really have no idea where it comes from. He prescribed her medication. The spots in her face and behind her ears are more or less gone, but her back, stomach, arms and legs look even worse than yesterday. The itching is still a bit uncomfortable, but fortunately she is doing well. I truly hope the hives will be gone soon.

Bad, Bad Blogger
Sorry for being a bad, bad blogger. I was very busy this week, and didn't have any time to scrap. I did scrap a card, but I can't show it yet. I can show you a sneak peek, but you have to wait a month (!)before I can reveal the card. Sorry! Normally I work 3 days a week, but this week I had to work 4 days so limited time to do anything else. Last Wednesday we went to see Jochem Myer's new show. He is a Dutch comedian, and both Eric and I LOVE him. He is real good and very talented. Tonight we went to our local theatre again, and had a blast. We went to see Big, Black & Beautiful. It was the third time we went to see a show of these girls, and they are AWESOME. They seriously ROCK! Wow....wish I could sing like them. Their shows are all about soul, R&B and disco. You don't sit back and relax, but....you sing and dance! This new show was great....just like the other two shows.
Look what I got in the mail yesterday. The set of clear stamps that I won on Lisette's blog. Thanks girl, I am really happy with the stamps.
Do you have any plans for the weekend? We would like to buy new clothes for the girls tomorrow, and go to Het Kabinet to look for a dining table. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for your lovely comments.

P is for Polinka
Polinka got my layout in the mail today, so I can now reveal it. I found it hard to come up with a good title so I simply called this layout "P", the first letter of her nickname as well as her real name. Polinka left a comment on my previous post telling me "it's absolutely beautiful". I am very happy that she likes my layout.
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock Black, Basic Grey Infuse PPs, Sweetwater Classic PPs, - Sassafras Lass Indian Summer 'Huckleberry Festival' PP, Hambly Screen Prints Rub-ons Vintage Motifs White, Autumn Leaves Foof-a-La Bag-o-Buttons, SEI brad, American Crafts Thickers Daiquirie Black, Maya Road Chipboard Scroll, EllisonDesign Circle dies, Versacolor Pinecone ink, Uniball Signo White pen and sewing machine.
Do you remember I made this card for one of the Caardvarks challenges in July 2007? I could finally send it to someone. My sweet friend Zab from France opened her online scrapbook store Bulle2Scrap.com last Sunday. I sent her this card to wish her good luck and lots of success!! Her online store as well as the store's blog looks fabulous.

Off to France
No....not me, but a layout that I created this weekend. I just mailed it out to Polinka. It has been a while ago since Polinka asked me to do a photo swap together. I agreed and we exchanged pictures in August. Now...almost 6 months later...I made a layout for her. She sent my layout just before Christmas. Her layout can be found here. As Polinka is a visitor of my blog I can't show you the layout yet, so I will leave you with a sneak peek.

Xmas Card Album
It has been a few days since I blogged. Not much to show at the moment. I didn't feel like scrapping at all this week. Lots of ideas and projects on my to do list, but no energy to start on something. I do have a little project to show you. Do you remember this sneak peek? I made a little mini album for our Xmas cards 2006 and 2007. I didn't want to throw away the cards, so I made an album to keep them. All cards are cut in 2x2" squares except for the handmade ones. Of course I didn't want to cut the handmade cards, so I keep them in a pocket. So far the mini album only contains the cards of Xmas 2006. The ones of 2007 still need to be cut and included in this album.
Our weather is beautiful. It seems like spring is arriving. The temperature is about 12C degrees and the sun is shining. Love this weather. We haven't really had a cold winter so far. Not sure if we get some serious winter weather before spring officially arrives.
Enjoy your weekend!

New....New....New
Eric and I had a day off today. This morning we went to Culemborg with Hanneke from 't Woonhuys - who helps us restyling our living room - and bought a new couch. Well, we bought two (similar) couches. Finally we have found one that we both like and that sits comfortably. The picture doesn't really do justice to the couch. The color of the fabric looks a bit purple in this picture while the actual color is brown. Not easy to take pictures with a little camera when there is no daylight at all. We chose this model, but a different fabric and color (taupe).
We picked up the girls from school at 3pm, and went to the shoe store in the city center to buy them new shoes for spring/summer. Fleur chose the white and pink/purple ones. Sanne wanted to have a pair of Lelli 'bling bling' Kelly, and the turquoise ones. They both are very happy with their new shoes, and would like to wear them to school tomorrow but they have to wait until the weather gets better. ;-)

A Mess
That is what my desk is like.....a complete MESS!!! I seriously need to clean my scrap room. I have a large desk, but right now I only have a few square inches left to work on. More than enough room to work on a 5.5x5.5" card (LOL!), but I can't start on a new project as long as my desk is not cleared. I really would like to start on a new project - still have a few unfinished projects too - so I am off to clear out my room.....NOW!
I will leave you with two cards that I made this weekend. I hardly scrapped this week, and couldn't come up with anything better than this. The Chatterbox card is meant for my aunt who will be celebrating her birthday on Tuesday. As far as I know she is not a frequent visitor of my blog, so I think it is save to already showcase the card. When I started scrapping in April 2006 I was a fan of the Chatterbox brand, but all of a sudden I was fed up with their designs and sold my complete Chatterbox collection. I kept a few leftovers to use for cards.
The card below is made with the Scenic Route Sumner papers. I soooo love the blue/brown color combination. The card from Kraft cardstock is cut with my Silhouette using the QuicKutz Sweetheart Digital Design Portfolio. With all the free downloads on the internet it is a bit silly that you have to pay for QuicKutz designs, but I must honestly say that their designs are great and cut very smoothly.
