Kumlinge is a municipality consistin o a group o islands in Åland, an autonomous territory o Finland. Kumlinge, which is the name o the lairgest island in the group an aw, means "rocky passage."
The municipality haes a population o 301 (28 Februar 2023)[2] an covers an aurie o 865.88 square kilometre (334.32 sq mi) o which 761.12 km2 (293.87 sq mi) is watter.[1] The population density is 3.03 inhabitants per square kilometre (7.8/sq mi).
89.2% o the population is Swadish-speakin, 6.1% is Finnish-speakin, an 4.7% speak ither leids.[6]
The Kumlinge Airfield is situatit on the main island.

Accordin tae taxrolls frae the 16t century thare wur aboot a dozen hooses on the main island at the time, hame tae maistly fermers an fishermen. In the 20t century the population o Kumlinge slowly began tae decline.
