Guerrero is a ceety an seat o the municipality o Guerrero, in the north-eastren Mexican state o Coahuila. The 2010 census population wis reportit as 959 inhabitants.[1]
History
[eedit | eedit soorce]Mission San Juan Bautista wis foondit on St. John's Day, 24 Juin 1699, on the Río de Sabinas, 25 mile north o Lampazos, Nuevo León, Mexico. It servit 150 Indians o different Coahuiltecan baunds. Efter anerlie 5 month, it wis muivit an reestablished at present-day Guerrero, Coahuila on 1 Januar 1700.
Amang the native fowk servit bi the mission wur the Ervipiame.[2]
In 1703 a Presidio wis established at San Juan Bautista.
