Super Saturday with Queen Kat Stamps!!

Hello everyone!!!
I'm back again this Saturday to share with you
a card that I created for my daughter for
Valentine's Day using the "My Furry Valentine"
stamp from the Ash Evans collection over in the
QKD Store. I wanted the coloring of the stamp to
coordinate with my title and the white background
without fighting too much with the colors on the '
pattern paper. So I just colored the edges of the image
with my Copic BVOOOO Pale Thistle just to highlight
the image. I finished off the title by handwriting the
f.e.c.t at the end of PURR and my daughter will love it!

Make sure you head on over to the QKD Store to find
this adorable "My Furry Valentine" stamp

at 25% off along with all of the other rubber stamps
and the remaining acrylic stamps are 80% off!!! Woohooo!!

Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day!

My 1st Post for Simply Renee & Clip It Up

Good morning everyone!
Today is my first post of my DT term for
Simply Renee's Clip It Up!!! First, I'd like to
tell you how incredibly easy the Clip It Up was
to assemble. When I received my Base and
Upper Tier, I was shocked at the small box
that my Clip It Up arrived in, and there were
only a few pieces inside that simply needed
screwed together by hand. The entire process
literally took me only three minutes, and my
2 year old even helped to screw on the Upper
Tier. Now how easy is that?!!

Secondly, I'd like to show you how I altered my
Clip It Up to contain a storage box on the top of
my Upper Tier. I used a leftover box that I had lying
around the house, and I simply used some pattern
paper, lace, and ribbon to decorate the box topper to
coordinate with the decor in my scraproom. I started
by covering the bottom half of the box with one pattern.

Then, I used a second pattern to cover the top half of the
box. I cut each piece of paper just slightly taller than what
I needed for the box so that I could fold the excess paper
over the top edge of the box covering the raw edges of the
cardboard. (NOTE: the top flaps of the box have been cut
off to allow for open storage).

Next, I added lace and a decorative ribbon to the center of
the box to cover the edges of whre the two patterns meet.

I finished the inside of the box by covering the inside with
sheets of vintage book and dictionary pages.

I cut a hold using my craft knife in the center of the bottom
of the box in order to accommodate the screw post at the
top of the Upper Tier, placed the box over the screw post,
and simply screwed on the topper.

Lastly, I used a circle cutter to create a piece to cover the
base of my Clip It Up that coordinated with my Storage
Topper. I cut the circle about 11" wide from a sheet of
pattern paper, and then I also cut a hole out of the center
of the paper about 1 1/2" wide in order to accommodate the
bottom screw post. I added a couple pieces of scrapbook tape
to adhere the circle to the base and screwed the Clip It Up
Base back together.

It's as simple as that, and here is my finished
and decorated Clip It Up Base with the Upper Tier!!

Now on to the fun part....ORGANIZING!!!!
I hope that you've enjoyed this Clip It Up Storage Topper
tutorial and that you'll try this yourself!!
Don't forget to head on over to the Clip It Up Blog to see
other fantastic Clip It Up ideas and storage solutions
along with the fabulous new All In One storage system
that was just shown off at the Winter 2011 CHA!!!

use spring flowers that you can make yourself!

all of the different kinds of flowers made on each

Also be sure to leave comments along the way on
each of the design team members blogs and also

Be sure to check out the Best Creation Blog for
the list of prizes you may be eligible to win!!

I'd like to share with you my Surprise Party card
that I created using the Best Creation "Let's Party"
line. I created the 3D Flower on this card by using
CIRCLES!!! It's just as easy as that...I used two
different sizes circle punches (one for the petals

and a larger punch for the flower center). I used
3 different colors of pattern papers for the petals
and punched 5 small circles from each pattern.

Then I simply pinched the small circles at one
end and that gave me my flower petals.

I glued the small pinched circles into a larger
circle on top of the card front making sure that
my larger punched circle that I was using for my
flower center would fit just perfectly inside.

I used the Best Creation 3D Foam Dots to pop up
the flower center just above the petals and added a
cupcake sticker to the center to complete my theme.

And here is my finished card.

I hope that you enjoyed this CIRCLE FLOWER
tutorial and that you'll give it a try yourself!!

Up next in our Blog Hop order is Tina McDonald!!

Have a wonderful Blog Hop Monday!!

Super Saturday

Good morning everyone!!!
I'm very happy to share with you today my very
first post and project for Queen Kat Designs!!!
For my first project I was able to work with the
cutest pixie stamp designed by Terrell Dorfeo with
Meado Pixie Arts. She is absolutely adorable with
her delicate wings and two little kitty cats that sit
comfortably in her hands. I first colored her with
my Copics, and then I added patterns to the card
in blues, greens, and browns, just perfect for a little
fairy that I always invision fluttering around the
woods hopping from tree branch to tree branch.

You can find this stamp "Kitty Cat Fairy"

in the QKD Store at 20% off along with all of the
other rubber stamps and acrylic stamps are 80% off,
but you'll have to hurry because today is the final
day of this fantastic sale!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Groundhog Day, Some Sneaks, & A New DT!!!

Happy Goundhog Day!!!
Yay, for only the 16th time in about 125 years
Phil the Groundhog DID NOT see his shadow
which means we should have an early spring!!!!
For all of you with as much snow and ice as we have
here in Indiana, I'm sure you're as tired of it all as I
am and will believe in anything right now just to get
a glimmer of hope that it may all be over soon...so yes,
I'm taking Phil's word for it and believing that an early
spring is on it's way! :) Whatever it takes, right?!!

On another note, I have had the great pleasure of
Guest Designing for My Creative Scrapbook for the month
of February with the gorgeous and awesome Main Kit!!
When I received the email invite from Pam I was just
floored that she asked and jumped on this opportunity
immediately!! Go check it out, the kits are beyond amazing
and the talent over there is incredible!!! Here's my sneaks...

And last but definitely not least, I have awesome news!!
I was chosen to be a part of the Some Odd Girl DT!! If you
don't know these digi stamps yet then head on over and
check them out because they're absolutely adorable!!
I'll be designing along side some super talented ladies so
make sure you check out all of there blogs for lots of
great ideas and tons of inspiration. Some Odd Girl is also
gearing up for there new releases on March 1st so stay
tuned for that.....they're absolutely adorable and fantastic!!
