There are a lot of normal positions for baby to be in during pregnancy, but when it comes to a faster, smoother labor, there’s said to be an “optimal” position for baby. That is head down and engaged in your pelvis, with their belly to your back.   The more engaged your baby is at the end of pregnancy, the more pressure that will be on your cervix and the less navigating baby has to do. This can speed things along when you do go into labor.
