This study examined the relationship between software as a service and human
resource information system effectiveness of major international oil companies in
Nigeria. Primary data was generated through the structured questionnaire using the
5-point Likert scale. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey in its investigation
of the variables. The population of this study was the five (5) registered major
international oil companies in Nigeria. The respondents were made up of 103 human
resource managers and sectional head. The analysis was accomplished at a 95%
confidence interval level of significance. The results revealed that there is significant
relationship software as a service and human resource information system
effectiveness of major international oil companies in Nigeria. The study recommends
that top management of major international oil companies in Nigeria should deploy
software as a service in the human resource department to provide different services
without increasing the network resources. As this can help the business save money,
time, and human resources, provides streamlined focus and greater productivity.

This study explores the relationship between training programs and employee performance in oil co... more This study explores the relationship between training programs and employee performance in oil companies in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, focusing on induction and apprenticeship training. Employing a cross-sectional survey design, 75 employees were selected through purposive sampling. Data collected via structured questionnaires were analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings reveal significant positive correlations between induction training and employee performance (r = 0.674, p < 0.05) and between apprenticeship training and employee performance (r = 0.582, p < 0.05). These results underscore the importance of effective training programs in enhancing employee performance. Specifically, theoretical knowledge induction positively impacts performance, while practical and integration induction do not show significant effects. The study concludes that comprehensive induction and structured apprenticeship programs are crucial for improving employee performance in the oil industry. Recommendations include investing in continuous training and development, implementing feedback mechanisms, and developing clear training policies. The implications for HR strategies, operational efficiency, talent retention, safety compliance, and competitive advantage are significant. Future research should consider the long-term impacts of training and compare various training approaches across different sectors and regions.

Companies are moving closer to their customers, expanding more effort in finding new ways to create value for their customers and transforming the customer relationship into one of solution finding and partnering rather than one of selling and order taking. The specific objectives were: to ascertain the relationship between customer relationship management and diversification of telecommunication firms in River State, Nigeria, to determine the relationship between customer relationship management and corporate size of telecommunication firms in River State, Nigeria and, to evaluate the relationship between customer relationship management and sales volume of telecommunication firms in River State, Nigeria. This study was to premise on Role Theory. This research, therefore, utilized a correlational research design. The population of the study is made up of MTN, Globacom, Airtel and 9mobile telecommunication firms within the context of the Rivers State Nigeria. This study adopted the census sampling technique. Since the population of the study was small, the study utilized the census sampling technique to select all one hundred and forty (140) respondents as sample for the study. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the data that was generated by the researcher was analysed using the Spearman's Rank Correlation as well as the Partial Correlation Coefficient Technique. In conclusion, the degree to which the customer relationship is managed and the level of satisfaction that customers have with the quality of service they receive will influence the" organization's continued survival. The study recommends that, in order to diversify and help the company survive the unstable, cutthroat business climate, managers need to think beyond the box.

Entrepreneurship at a firm level, that is, corporate entrepreneurship is associated with a firm's growth, innovation and flexibility which are desirable traits for the success of modern established firms. Strategic entrepreneurship is an integration of entrepreneurial and strategic perspectives to design and implementation of entrepreneurial strategies that create wealth. Strategic entrepreneurship results in superior firm. Strategic entrepreneurship which plays an important role in a highly turbulent environment, integrates strategic functions with entrepreneurial actions. The goal of strategic entrepreneurship is to continuously create competitive advantages that lead to maximum wealth creation. Authors recommend a process model of strategic entrepreneurship that describes how beginning with an entrepreneurial mindset, an entrepreneurial culture and entrepreneurial leadership, a firm can manage resources more strategically, apply creativity and develop innovation which can in turn lead to competitive advantage and wealth creation. This study sought to conceptually examine the various facets of strategic entrepreneurship and firm performance. The dimensions of strategic entrepreneurship considered are entrepreneurial mindset, entrepreneurial culture, entrepreneurial leadership and entrepreneurial orientation.

The population of this study was the five (5) registered major international oil companies in Nigeria. The respondents were made up of 103 human resource managers, sectional heads and supervisors. The reliability of the instrument was achieved by the use of the Cronbach Alpha coefficient with all the items scoring above 0.70. The hypotheses were tested using the Spearman's Rank Order Correlation Coefficient. The tests were carried out at a 95% confidence interval and a 0.05 level of significance. The study findings revealed that there is a significant relationship platform as a service and human resource information system effectiveness of major international oil companies in Nigeria. The study recommends that top management of major international oil companies in Nigeria should carefully select platform as a service by identifying the strengths and weaknesses in terms of the processing type considered, enables organisations to build and develop on software solutions to ease their work.

Job rotation is increasingly adopted as a strategic HR practice to boost productivity and innovation. Drawing from behavioral and sociological management perspectives, the research examines its influence on employee involvement, skills development, and organizational outcomes. A cross-sectional survey involved 134 employees from diverse manufacturing enterprises in Rivers State. Using structured questionnaires, the study collected data on employee perceptions of job rotation's effects on productivity, skills development, and innovativeness. Statistical analyses, including Pearson correlation coefficients and regression models, explored these relationships. Findings highlight significant positive correlations: Employee Involvement and Productivity: A strong relationship (.830**) indicates that active participation in job rotation enhances employee productivity. Skills Development and Innovativeness: There is a significant positive relationship (p = .000), suggesting job rotation fosters innovativeness through diversified skill development. The study underscores the importance of tailored training and transparent communication to optimize job rotation's benefits. Challenges such as initial resistance and role effectiveness concerns emphasize the need for strategic implementation and ongoing evaluation. Recommendations include developing comprehensive training programs, fostering open communication, and monitoring performance metrics to maximize job rotation's effectiveness. By cultivating a versatile and motivated workforce, manufacturing companies in Rivers State can enhance their competitive edge and sustain growth in a dynamic business landscape. The study used a correlational technique of inquiry and a quantitative research methodology. The population of the study comprised of 20 managers of 4 Telecommunication firms in Rivers. The study adopted a census study with a focus on the managerial staff (R&D manager, marketing manager and sales manager). The questionnaire was distributed in the frame of five (5) copies per firm. A total of 20 copies of the questionnaire were distributed. The reliability of the instrument was determined using the Cronbach's alpha test with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23 and it stood at 0.78 higher than the benchmark of 0.70. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data that were gathered for this study. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Method was used to test various hypotheses formulated through the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23.0. The findings revealed that entrepreneurial innovation dimensions of product innovations and process innovations showed positive, strong and significant relationship with Organisational performance. The study concluded that increase in product innovations and process innovations will lead to an increase in Organisational performance and Organisational performance of telecom firms in Port Harcourt.In line with the findings and conclusion; the study recommends that: telecom firms should explore product innovations as it will improve their network speed and impact greatly on Organisational performance and also, telecom firms should work more on process innovations; upgrade to 5G network in order to improve network speed.

Recognizing the essential role of human capital in sustainable growth, this paper synthesizes global research on effective workforce strategies, including coaching, certification, and leadership development programs. Through a comprehensive literature review, the paper also evaluated TVET in Rivers State, emphasized successes and challenges such as underfunding, outdated curricula, and inadequate industry engagement. The paper advocates for a robust TVET approach integrating skill development with certification and leadership training to boost employability and productivity in Rivers State. In conclusion, strategic TVET enhancements to align with industry needs and promote socioeconomic progress. Furthermore, suggestions among others include longitudinal and experimental studies to confirm the long-term effects of TVET programs.

The objectives of the paper were structured in line with assessing the relationship between despotic leadership dimensions such as authoritative behaviour and self-centeredness and outcomes of employee quiet quitting such as employee lacklustre performance and employee low engagement, The paper identified despotic leadership as tyrannical and as necessitating distrust and tension within the workplace, such that it impact negatively on the employee's behaviour. The paper also adopted the cognitive dissonance theory as it theoretical framework, utilizing the theory as a base for its argument on the implications of the breach between workers expectations and their realities in the work. The paper discovered that these attitudes affect the performance level of the organization in the global market which affects the economy. From the extant literature reviewed on the variables, It was concluded that despotic leadership creates conditions that weaken the morale of employees, lowers their engagement and further leads to their lacklustre performance in the organization. The paper therefore Recommends that organizations should engage leadership responsibilities to transformational and democratic person who will foster employee quite thriving instant of quitting to encourage rapidly changing economy globally, encourage participative leadership and the sharing of power in the workplace for healthier and more collaborative outcomes between leaders and their subordinates.

This study investigated a comprehensive analysis of the recruitment and training policies of the ... more This study investigated a comprehensive analysis of the recruitment and training policies of the Nigerian Police, highlighting significant differences between past and present practices. The primary objectives were to compare these policies over time, identify persistent gray areas and challenges, and propose viable solutions to enhance these critical processes. Utilizing a crosssectional survey design, the study targeted officers of the Nigerian Police Force in Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos States, Nigeria, with a total population of 7,347 individuals. A sample size of 383 was determined using the Krejcie and Morgan formula, and stratified random sampling was employed. Data collection was conducted using a structured questionnaire, validated by pilot testing and yielding reliability coefficients of 0.78 and 0.80, and complemented by structured interviews. The demographic analysis revealed a predominantly male and relatively young workforce, with most respondents holding a B.Sc/HND degree. Key findings indicated substantial reforms in recruitment and training policies aimed at improving professionalism and efficiency. However, persistent ambiguities and inconsistencies were identified, necessitating clearer and more consistent policies. The study also highlighted a strong belief among respondents that viable solutions exist, including policy standardization, enhanced training programs, effective feedback mechanisms, and adequate resource allocation. The recommendations emphasize the need for comprehensive guidelines, regular policy reviews, advanced training curricula, stakeholder engagement, transparency, accountability, and international collaboration. These measures are essential for developing a more effective, efficient, and professional Nigerian Police Force capable of meeting contemporary security challenges and serving the community with integrity and competence.

This study is anchored on the positivist research paradigm; this study adopted the correlation survey research. Correlation survey research is a non-experimental research in which the researcher measures two variables and assesses the statistical relationship between them. The target population for this study was 103 human resource managers, Sectional heads, Supervisors drawn from the five (5) major international oil companies in Nigeria. The population was considered accessible as it focused on the human resource managers, Sectional heads, Supervisors in the head offices of the five (5) identified major international oil companies in Nigeria that operate with the Department of Petroleum Resources. The reliability of the study was tested using the Cronbach Alpha method, the result stood at 0.87 higher than the benchmark of 0.70. The study employed the Spearman Rank-order Correlation Coefficient for testing the various hypotheses formulated. The findings revealed that there is strong positive and significant relationship between infrastructure and human resource information system effectiveness of major international oil companies in Nigeria. Again, there is strong positive and significant relationship between platform and human resource information system effectiveness of major international oil companies in Nigeria. This study therefore concludes that cloud computing is a significantly predictor of HRIS effectiveness of major international oil companies in Nigeria. Based on the discussion and conclusion the study recommends that top management of major international oil companies in Nigeria should provide support for the adoption of infrastructure as a service as this will provide the organisation with much flexibility in accessing latest technology at a much smaller cost and they should carefully select platform as a service by identifying the strengths and weaknesses in terms of the processing type considered. As this will enables organisations to build and develop on software solutions to ease their work.
