(happy retirement!)

A happy “Hello” to all of you from “Hello Milly” this wonderful Saturday morning.
Claudia_Rosa_Hello_Millie_5
I hope you have a great weekend planned weather it will be crafting or just spent some time outside enjoying probably some of the last warm late summer sunrays. We do have sun today but the air is chilly, my weekend will contain either escaping to the mall with the excuse that I have to buy some gifts and clothes for my oldest or help in the basement Smile and since I am sick and tired of that mess I choose what I think I can do best – go shopping lol

You may have noticed on my last few cards that I have changed the “orientation” how the cards open. In order to get a nice shot of all the details and a great angle for my pictures I prefer the other way, but for “handling” and using such a heavy card with many layers I thought this way would probably work better.

Happy Retirement!

Claudia_Rosa_Happy Retierement_3

Hello friends… what do you think of the new Magnolia Spring kit????
This little one was my favorite – the image is surprisingly small compared to other Magnolia’s. It worked well with my Spellbinder oval dies. I got to get myself the small petite scallops set. I always have to double mat my images because I miss this set. Cant believe how many sets I have, which I never use anymore but such a basic set I miss in my collection *insert rolled eyes*.

I decorated the inside with a foreground stamp of a Magnolia stamp from 2008, I absolutely love the Cattails. I used them so many times in my cards. It’s quick to colour in and I also was able once to cut it completely out with a exacto knife to adhere several cat tails over my image. I still remember this card Smile The money for this stamp was, money well spent for me.

Thought long about what sentiment to use with the image… was quite limited with the options because I needed the words to fit on my Spellbinder label. I had an other one that said just “Relax”, I thought this one is a bit nicer together with the image.

Image was stamped onto this sparkly paper Crychon or so… I have not colored on this paper for a long time. It really is so different than Copic X-Press Cardstock. It does look very, very pretty but omg.. X-press paper is much easier to colour on.

Let the relaxation begin! Happy retirement!

HI there, I hardly can believe it.. I blog for years now but this is actually my first retirement card. What happened lol????
I knew when I saw this Tilda in the Winner Collection – that this would be a nice use with this image.. not only to make cards for ladies who like this sport.
I did tape this time how I have created this background. Thought you might want to know since some of you liked last weeks Christmas card.
You are going to find the tutorial tomorrow or on Saturday on my my new Youtube channel. I want to try to get a card done for Just Magnolia today.. not sure if I can pull it off. My day was busy today.

So, I tried to keep this card fairly simple, to a sense maybe elegant but still used pinks and which girl does not like a fair amount of bling Smile??
The bumble bees wings have all been stickled and I have used some pretty heart shaped sparkly buttons.
