Panama’s national dress is as culturally diverse & vibrant as its people. This is beautifully demonstrated in the polleras created by Afro-Panamanians such as this #PolleraCongo made of fabric remnants (de retazos). Los Congos is a genre of music & style of dance originated in the #Panamanian province of Colon, during Afrocolonial times. Slave women are said to have created this design with the remnants of fabric left over from the clothing they made for their enslavers.
