Lisa Benson Art on Instagram: "The final layer went on this kitchen lithography print this weekend. I’m really pleased with it, which I don’t often say. What I wasn’t pleased with was the handle falling off the wheel of my press, but that’s another story.

Back to the print. There was me expecting cold weather and possible snow, but no, it’s so mild it’s hard to believe it’s February 🙈 It was this time last year that I took the photo this print is based on.

Kitchen lithography makes a printable plate from kitchen foil (the stuff you use for cooking) and cola, as far as I’m concerned that’s magic 🧙‍♀️

After the MAPC conference and Michael Barnes's demonstration on asphaltum reduction lithography I was itching to try it out. As soon as I had all the materials and a base rolled out on the stone I began work on an image.
