However, in recent years there has been a growth-in proportion and in echo in public opinion-of "non-fiction" content, and among them, documentaries. It is easy to find in all platforms a rich section of contents that can be framed within this audiovisual genre, or in related genres, such as docudramas, docuseries, etc. Specifically, true to its principle of diversification, Netflix combines in its catalog quality titles, such as Oscar or Emmy awardwinning international documentaries, along with others produced by the local division (Italy has its own headquarters since May 2022). The specific characteristics of Netflix in relation to this audiovisual genre are studied here, with particular attention to the Italian case: its offer and classification into subgenres, the themes reflected in its own documentaries, the narrative styles with which they shape them, the reviews they have received.

Among the main cultural aspects, PTS gave particular attention to respect for other ethnic groups, ecology, traditions, and religion. The first part of the study begins with a summary of the social and political background surrounding the birth of PTS-after the first free elections of 1996-including the development of the two main political parties, their proposals about the relationship with mainland China, and how that feeling has shifted towards a more cultural dimension. The second part includes a thematic analysis (content-discourse analysis with qualitative methodology) of a selection of six awarded documentaries aired around October 2011 (and later), in the year that marked the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of China, and constituted a crucial moment to relaunch the Taiwanese identity.

We surveyed the digital articles that reported the highest engagement level. The aim was to identify the most prominent variables (topics, players and news coverage area). Similarly, a discourse analysis was carried out by analyzing the tone used in relation to the variables mentioned. The results show that the most important topics were health, politics and the economy. Headlines appeared to be more likely to have a negative tone, although neutral headlines were the most common. The main feature in digital media headlines was civil society.

Abstract Institutional video is a unique audiovisual genre that adopts, in the digital age, a wide range of formal styles. As a consequence, strictly quantitative content analysis is insufficient. It is often more interesting to analyze the formal configurations with which institutions seek to reflect their identities. Some criteria are proposed for the thematic analysis of institutional videos that universities place on their websites or officially broadcast through social networks. It is a qualitative methodology based on discourse analysis, combined with content-analysis research. Through the use of flexible viewing questionnaires, the codified categories help to discover plausible communicative and argumentative modes that can be related to the institutional, social or cultural context. Palabras clave Vídeo institucional, identidad corporativa, idea de universidad, metodologías cualitativas, análisis temático.

If they are well prepared, they can play the role of secondary spokespersons. It is worth leaving them a certain margin of freedom, even if it means running the risk of being mistaken at times. But this will result in more authentic and credible testimony.

This communication argues that this program fulfills a real public service, despite the financial crisis that the station is going through and other political circumstances that pose a challenge to its sustainability. Among the social functions that it promotes, it especially analyzes how it helps viewers feel in tune with society and the culture to which they belong, secure in their own identity, but open to the multiplicity of cultures and ways of life in the different geographical areas that appear.
By means of a qualitative methodology of content analysis, a sample of ten representative documentaries - according to recent audiences and geographical distribution - is analysed, to assess the configurations of the comparative references or nostalgic mentions that appear in the dialogues, around three very present categories: geographical places, gastronomic traditions and social customs of an ethical nature.
The main conclusion is that the participatory style of the documentary facilitates the recognition of one's own identity by the Madrilenians visited abroad, who express aloud the differences with other cultures. In turn, the viewer also feels identified with these common traits, while remaining open to understanding and tolerance, guided by the example of the protagonists.

A valid alternative is the BBC: its model of Public Broadcasting Media and its peculiar "service contract" guarantees certain independence and a high quality of production, recognized worldwide. Its objectives include: promoting culture, pursuit of excellence (creativity, technological innovation).
