Foil relief art

I've been making samples for a workshop I'll be teaching at the upcoming NAEA convention in Seattle, in March. The workshop is titled "Oh What a Relief - Fabulous Tooling Foil". I saw this idea on Make It.. a Wonderful Life but wanted to try it with canvas boards (I much prefer them to cardboard), and using far less steps.. The original poster did this with a children's art class. They drew their pictures on paper, traced it onto tracing paper with ink, then covered the other side with graphite and then traced onto the cardboard. After school everything is crazy when I am trying to get kids picked up and then snacks and homework done while also trying to catch up and hear about how each child's day has gone.

This was a super fun project my Grades 4- 6 mixed elective class did at the end of this school year. They LOVED this project- some even made 2 or 3.
