“We have spent the last year-and-a-half working on it completely by ourselves, one DIY challenge at a time,” homeowner Hayley Blythe says. “I love the bright, airy, calming spaces we have created over time.”

Our tired, outdated retro bathroom has had a major refresh after the budget-friendly makeover where I highlighted the fun, vintage blue tiles.

After looking at hundreds of different properties over the course of ten months (and losing bids on eight other places), Allison and Jovito finally found their dream home: a 100-year-old brick row house in Brooklyn’s Ocean Parkway neighborhood.
