The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located in the United States and extends along the chain of the Great Smoky Mountains, which are part of the Blue Mountains, both divisions of the vast Appalachian Mountains. The Tennessee-North Carolina border runs through the center of the park in a northeast to southwest direction. It is the most visited national park in the United States.

COLORADO - Mesa Verde National Park
Mesa Verde National Park is a national park in the United States, also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978. It is located in Montezuma County, in southwestern Colorado. The park occupies 211 square kilometers and contains numerous ruins of habitations and villages built by the Anasazi people. The constructions carried out in caves and under the ledges of the cliffs stand out; including Cliff Palace.

UTAH - Brice Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park of the United States located in the southwest of the state of Utah. Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is not really a canyon but rather a large natural amphitheater formed by erosion. Bryce is noted for its unique geological structures, called fairy chimneys, which were formed by erosion caused by wind, water, and ice.

TARRAGONA - Royal Monastery of Santa María de Poblet (WHS Unesco)
The Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet is a monastery of the Cistercian order founded in 1150. It is located at the foot of the Prades mountains, in the region of Conca de Barberà. Poblet is an impressive architectural ensemble and can be counted among the most important monastic ensembles in Europe.

VALENCIA - Silk market (WHS Unesco)
La Llotja de la Seda or Mercado de los Mercaderes is the most important Valencian civil Gothic building and in 1996 it was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. It was built between 1482 and 1584.
The construction is made up of three bodies: first the Trading Room followed by the central tower and, to the left, the Consulate of the Sea (if we look at it from the Market Square). The Hall of Columns or Trade Hall occupied the first part of the building and is a large room divided into three longitudinal naves by helical columns. The central tower has a ground floor and two upper floors, which were originally the jail for merchants declared bankrupt.

RUDI (Soroca district) - Struve Geodetic Arc (WHS Unesco)
The Struve Geodetic Arc is a monumental complex declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2005, made up of a series of 34 milestones or vertices for geodetic measurements spread over ten countries in Northern and Eastern Europe. The system was built at the initiative of the astronomer Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von Struve.

Modern Chinese Musicians
He Luting (July 20, 1903 – April 27, 1999) - was a Chinese composer of the early 20th century. He composed songs for Chinese films beginning in the 1930, some of which remain popular.
Ma Sicong (May 7, 1912 – May 20, 1987) – was a Chinese violinist and composer. In China he was known as "The King of Violinists". His Nostalgia for violin, composed in 1937 as part of the Inner Mongolia Suite, is considered one of 20th-century China's favorite pieces.
Xiao Youmei (January 7, 1884 - December 31, 1940) - was a prominent Chinese music educator and composer. He was one of the first composers in China to master Western composition techniques and incorporated them into his works. In his lifetime, he wrote more than 100 pieces. These include works for piano, orchestral pieces, violin and other string pieces, and choral works.
Liu Tianhua (1895–1932) - was a Chinese musician and composer best known for his innovative work for the erhu. Liu's students, such as Jiang Fengzhi and Chen Zhenduo, continued to contribute to the development of the erhu.

XAGHRA (Gozo Island) - Ggantija temples (WHS Unesco)
Ġgantija is the name of a set of two megalithic temples in Malta located in Xaghra (island of Gozo, north of Malta). They were erected during the Neolithic period (between 3600 and 2500 BC) and therefore predate similar ensembles such as Stonehenge.

IWAKUNI - Kintaikyo Bridge
The Kintai Bridge is one of the most representative wooden bridges in Japan. It is located in Iwakuni (Yamaguchi Prefecture), a city near the neighboring Hiroshima Prefecture. Built in 1673, its five-arched structure runs from bank to bank of the Nishiki River, allowing access to Mount Yokoyama, on top of which is Iwakuni Castle. It was declared a National Treasure of Japan in 1922, along with the castle, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The Kintai bridge is also the scene of the "Kintaikyo Festival", celebrated every April 29 and in which the return to the castle of the Iwakuni daimyo and his entourage of vassals and servants is recreated.

BARCELONA - Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia
Metropolitan Basilica Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia is the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, seat of the Archbishopric of Barcelona. The current cathedral was built between the 13th and 15th centuries on top of the old Romanesque cathedral, itself built on a church from the Visigothic period, which was preceded by an early Christian basilica. The completion of the imposing façade in the same style, however, is much more modern (19th century). The building is an Asset of Cultural Interest and, since November 2, 1929, a National Historic-Artistic Monument.
