Looking out
It’s instinct!
That which draws us to peer into the beyond…
To peek around the corner…
To see who or what lies out there…
To look through…
To look in…
To look out…
To wonder about the other side of here.
That overwhelming desire to step through…
To stand in the light…
And live outside the frame.

The colours of the Sydney Fish Markets
The Sydney Fish Markets are a rainbow of delight...
from the silver slivers of the Atlantic salmon...
to the golden eyes of the orange sea bass.
Then there's the gentle pink hues of the New Zealand snapper ...
And the luminous emerald of the Green-lipped mussel...
Not forgetting the gentle baby pink underbelly of the octopus.
There's lemon delight yellow...
And the sunset hues of the tiger prawn...
... the electric swimmer crab blue...
...and the golden earthy shells of the oyster
... freshly shucked...
...and garishly garnished to go.
And adding to the colour is the perennial pelican...
and the ubiquitous seagull in search of a morsel, a soupçon...a tidbit.
And the biggest surprise of all...
My boat!

The art of accidental art
Is it by accident or intention?
That a casually placed pot sprouting a twisted vine creates a piece of art?
Or that a hastily painted donkey shoe
Pops when nailed in blue and framed in white?
That boats drying on a window sill
are art within art?
And a broken pot artistically sitting on a stone wall
Draws you to sit next to it and dream...
...of terracotta days and a table for two...
Is it by accident or intention...
That a simple drip can be so alluring?
For the love of the art of accidental art...
Long may it flourish and thrive!

Shoelaces...a rite of passage!
Where were you when you first learnt to tie your shoelaces?
Take that first big step from babyhood to childhood...
Assert your independence...
Claim your first rite of passage?
Well done Lucy...
So happy to have shared this with you and this will be a day you will always remember.
