Now let's see what the Design Team have been up to.

Scatty Jan For my Birthday card I have used the wonderful Cherryblossom lane CD such a fantastic collection full to bursting with oodles of papers, Characters, embellies etc! Everything on my card is from the collection, all that was added were a few pearls to the flower centers to finish - This collection is suitable for so many occasions, Easter, Birthdays, Weddings, Get Well to name a few.The two Characters that I have used are called Party and are also available as a digi stamp that you can find here . Lots more piccys on my blog xx

Asha - I made a birthday card for my 8 year old nephew using the marvellous design sheet from Work & Play 8 Music. I didn't add any embellishments. Instead, I filled the card with bits and pieces form this sheet to create a fun, bright and LOUD card that will appeal to any young man.

Karon - Thought I would make a masculine card ready for hubby's birthday in May.  Using the fabulous Winston Delux Papercrafting CD collection.  This is a wonderful collection and if you like Kraft you will love this!  Lots of lovely scrumptious papers, and of course this wonderful ted!  I used one of the design sheets, and added some lovely papers, all from this CD.  Layering him up and adding a little cotton for his fishing rod, and some glossy accents to the fish bait.

Christine  I used the wonderful Work and Play 9 Love and Kisses Collection.  I used the Love and Kisses Digi and I coloured her with Spectrum Noir Markers and Coloured Pencils.  The carriage comes with the set, I used the Print and Cut feature on  my Silhouette for it.  I also used one of the cut files that came  with the collection also.  Put some finishing touches with some flowers and punched butterflies.

Lou: I created a trio of cards this week using the Octavia CD/download and have challenged myself to use only the papers and embellies you find on the CD/download. All the cards are using the same pieces but each different. Not bad with just 3 papers and a page full of embellishments. More photos can be found on my blog ...

Penny: For my birthday card I used the beautiful Amelia with elements from Work and Play Collection 8.   The card started with the frame which I layered five deep to add some depth.  I used the print and cut feature on my Sil Cameo for Amelia, the paper layers and the frame, as well as that cute little bow, with some simple distress ink on the edges.   More details can be found on my blog.

Agnieszka - hello :) Today I want to share you my birthday card.  I  used a digi  image and flowery paper from Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses - Full Download Bundle.   I colored it with Promarkers,  I added a ballons and heart banner, a few flowers, crystals and dies cut - my card is ready, hugs.

Melanie - For my birthday card I decided take some lovely floral letters from the Picknix CD. I printed them out twice - once onto plain paper and again a thicker cardstock - then carefully hand-cut each letter. I arranged the paper letters overlapping onto a watercoloured card blank, then added my thicker cardstock letters on top using 3D foam pads for dimension. A stamped 'happy', some thin satin ribbon and pretty pastel flowers finished my design. I hope you like it!

Jane - Still dragging the chain but here is my Birthday inspiration using my favourite medium Copic Markers. I have used one of the images from Work and Play 8, Music.

Fabulous creations by the Design Team and a great mix
of different collections being used.

Our winner and Top 3 for our Ribbons and Lace challenge

Now onto this weeks beautiful inspiration from our Design Team.....

Dawn:   I have used a precoloured image from Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses, which can be purchased  here or the full CD set here & mirror imaged it to show 2 brides as I have a friend whose daughter is marrying her  partner  later this year. The papers are from the same CD as well, as is the sentiment & champagne bottle & glasses. More details on my blog.

Asha: I was in a super girly girl mood when I reached out for the adorable Pretty Sweet Mini CD collection. Calling it Mini is an understatement! This CD is packed with the prettiest, sweetest, most darling images and papers. I used little Maddie as my focal image and she was a delight to colour with my Graph'It markers. Maddie with Present is also available as a single download digistamp.

Scatty Jan - I decided to make a shaped card for this challenge - I made this sweet little baby card - The Pink checked paper is from Cherryblossom Lane collection. Added in some lace, Ribbon and a little Bow. I then added on little Etty from the Winston collection CD, which is also available as download,an also Etty as a digi that you can find here. layered up to give a little depth.

Ashley Lydia- I decided to make a very girly card using the fabulous princess and carriage from the Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses which you can find here. I made a glitter frame for dimension, and added some flowers that I dyed with chalk to match the purple and pink theme as well as some adorable hearts from the embellies of the WP9 collection. The princess is pre-colored but I added some vibrancy using my markers, its a great idea to go over the colors and practice your coloring skills =)

Cheremane - I have used the fabulous Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses Cd you can also get the Bride & Groom as a Digi download Here. I adore Ribbons & lace so this was a very easy challenge for me. I printed the papers and distressed the edges with Milled Lavender distress ink, I used a lace edge punch on one of the papers, I die cut the pre-coloured digi image and distressed inked it before removing from the die to get a shadow. Finally added Ribbon Lace, flowers pearls and heart charm and a touch of glitter to the brides dress to finish. Pop on over to the Polkadoodles Shop as you will find everything for all your crafting needs and wants all in the one place.

Karon - I decided to use the wonderful Rose Budd Papercraftng Cd collection.  Everything on the card is from this fabulous collection, except the real bit of lace down the left side and the pearl dot on the ribbon.  Even the lace underneath the lace (lol) is off the CD.  Inked the edges and added a little dimension to the flowers with foam pads.

Christine I used Saucy Wedding Night   digi, I colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers and colored pencils.  The fold is one I found on Pinterest.  I used the cut files from the Work And Play 9-Love and Kisses Collection, and the papers from this wonderful set. I added some ribbon and lace on the folds of my card.

Agnieszka - hello Crafters :) Today I want to share with you my card, which I prepared as an inspiration for Ribbons and Lace.  I  used pre-coloured image from Work & Play 9 Love & Kisses - Full Download Bundle.  As I love a lot of embellishments on my cards - it was a pleasure created this card. I added a big ribbon bow in purple, paper and fabric lace, a few flowers, cristals and dies cut - my card is ready, hugs.

AnnaThis time, I made an Easter card again, in shades of violet, with lace, ribbons, eggs and flowers. The card is made from paper from the Winston collection CD , more pics on my blog .

Lou: I have used one paper and oodles of embellies from the Octavia CD/download to create my card for this challenge. I had a great time fussy cutting all the pieces; it was so relaxing and rewarding. More photos can be found on my blog ...

wk 9 - Digi Queens Colouring Inspiration

Welcome back to another day of lovely Colouring Inspiration from our Digi Queens team!

Tait - Hi guys, im back again for another fun inspiration card for you. I have used the very beautiful Seashore Shannon this week, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with her - I really wanted to show just how beautiful the image is, so I have coloured her all in grey tones with copic markers. With the card I wanted it to be simple and showcase the image more than the embellishments so I have just used some distressed papers, a couple of bits of lace and some shells to finish it off. I hope you enjoy :D

You can get the digi here:
http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=6992
I have coloured this image with copic markers using only the Cool Grey tones.

Cara.....
I have used the stunning Octavia Best friends Digi image today and coloured her up in Sepia tones using my Graph'it markers and added highlights with my gold glitter shake marker.  I was going for an autumnal theme and chose feathers and leaves as my embellishments and added vintage gold and white frantage powder to finish the card.

You can get the digi here

Octavia Best Friends digistamp

Janine - hi everyone! I just love the Winston CD and I couldn't resist this fabby digi stamp of Winston chillin' out in his boat; I think he's so cool!  To colour this gorgeous image I thought I would take inspiration from Nikky and use my Pan Pastels - it was a bit of a learning curve but I'm happy with the results. However I did use a few pencils in certain areas to add a little extra depth. I decided to make it a CAS card so the background layers are quite simple. To finish off I added a few hand drawn fish and some buttons.

You can get the digi here

I used the following Pan Pastels: Turquoise, Bright Yellow Green, Phthalo Green, Burnt Sienna Shade, Permanent Red, Permanent Red Tint, Violet Tint, Titanium White, Diarylide Yellow, Black.

Christine - Hi peeps, another Christmas card from me! I've used the gorgeous 'Presents' for my card this week from the Work and Play 5 Festive Hollybobs Collection CD.  I also used some digi paper from that CD too.  I do love colouring in red - though it's such a tricky colour - it can so easily bleed.  I'm also experimenting with my background shading - going for slightly deeper to make the image stand out more.  Like her dotty dress and headband?  Easy to achieve with a white gel or poster paint pen.  I did the sentiment on the PC and used Dies for the image, sentiment, & the holly.

You can get the Festive Hollybobs Collection CD at Polka Doodles here:

It's such a wonderful Christmas collection brim full of fabulous-ness!

Here are the Copic colours I used:
Skin E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E21, E34, E23
Dress and Headband: R24, R29, R46., E57
Holly: G21, G99
Shading: W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, plus plenty of blender pen
I used a Sharpie Poster Paint Pen for the white dots.

Fi - Hi folks and here's my latest card.  I have used this little cutie called Luna which you can find here in the Polka Doodles store.  I coloured her in with alcohol markers.  I made the background with my floral fusions die-namics die which I layered onto card which I coloured with distress inks.  The bottom part of the backing has been embossed with the same die.  I added a piee of ribbon around the join just to finish it off a bit.  The bow has been fastened to the card and a rolled rose has been attached.  I added some teeny pearls to the centres of the dies cut backing....hope you like!....

Spectgrum Noirs used:
Skin - FS2, FS3, FS6
Hair - EB1, EB2, GB8, GB10
Clothes - IB3, CT4, CT2

Digi Queens team!

Before we get to the inspiration, don't forget to pootle on over to the Digi Choosday blog today for another brand new challenge and chance to win some lovely digis!

So let's see what the team are up to:

Cara - This week I chose to use the Witchie 2013 Digi image to make a Halloween tag. I coloured her with my Graph'it markers and added the silver glitter shake marker to all the highlights on her cloak and hat. I love Halloween and I've used this image soooo many times, she is one of my favourites.  I also used the Witchie 2013 Download bundle for the backing paper.

You can find the digi here:

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=6418

Janine - Hi everyone, for this week's theme of Halloween I chose the gorgeous Witchie Skelton digi stamp together with elements from the Witchie Witchie bundle. I had great fun playing with Nikky's fab drawings which are so perfect for creating scenic cards.  Copic marker pens were used to colour the images, and the abstract background was made using Pan Pastels.

You can get the images here

Here is the list of Copics I used:
Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E02
Hair - YG03, YG11, V000, V01, V04

Tait - Hi everyone, well I have been sick this week and didnt get a chance to make an actual card but I have coloured this really cute Little Witch from the Witchie Witchie collection. I have coloured her with copics and then to make it stand out a bit more I went around with edges with a light grey and yellow marker. I really love the way she has turned out and I hope you do too :D

Here is where you can find the image

http://www.polkadoodles.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=6418

Purple - V01, V04, V06, V09
Orange - YR14, YR16, YR18
Black - C3, C5, C7, C9

Christine - This week I used Amelia Witch Toad digi stamp for my Halloween themed card.  Although I generally live in a world of pink and pastels - I decided to go overboard with the deep colours.  I used a mix of Copics and Promarkers - then I dotted the background with a mixture of colours and blender pen to give a sort of magical effect!  This witch has a penchant for glitter too... through her hair, on her robe, and even on her socks!  The toad escaped though - you can see him looking a bit disgusted at all the shiney stuff landing around him!  The stars die is from MFT Dienamics - cut from glitter card, and the stars embossing folder is from Crafts Too.

You can purchase the digi image here:
